GLOSSYBOX Review November 2019

GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box that delivers five deluxe or full-size beauty products ranging from trendy to high-end. The company sources from more than 400 brands around the world to curate a sampling valued around $60 USD for $21/month.

*They kindly sent us the box for review.

There are four subscription options (all prices in USD):

  • monthly ($21/month, billed monthly)
  • 3-month ($58.50, paid upfront)
  • 6-month ($111, paid upfront)
  • 12-month ($210, paid upfront)

Shipping in the US is free; shipping to Canada is $5/box + any duties and customs fees.

Subscribers can complete a beauty profile to help ensure the box matches their needs.

This month’s box was missing the product card (it’s on the GLOSSYBOX site so I’ve included excerpts from that below) but there were two coupons: one for $100 off a case of Naked Wines priced at $160 or more (good for US customers only) and a $80 gift card for new Hello Fresh customers (applicable in Canada and the US).

Novex Mystic Black Deep Hair Care Mask

“If you wanted a little more mystique at your next event, this hair mask will have guests and friends wondering what’s made your hair so bouncy and soft! It can be our little paraben and sulfate-free secret, like your favorite dish.” ($8)

I feel like my hair is pretty soft but it’s definitely not bouncy so I’m curious to give this mask a try. And I’m always glad to see clean (or relatively clean) products in the box.

Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel

“Best known as the “Protein Peel”, this re-branded formula from Real Chemistry removes dead skin cells in record time. Leave on for 3 minutes and say goodbye to those pesky surface impurities this month.” ($18.48)

Gentle and quick, my skin felt like it could breathe after using it. No noticeable scent (which I like) and no redness.

Lord & Berry Maximatte Crayon Lipstick — Intimacy

“With an intense color, and a comfortable application, this matte lip pencil will make the most heartwarming moments all the more intimate with little to no smudging. A makeup enthusiast’s best friend.” ($13.50)

Like a lipliner and lipstick in one, not too drying and a gorgeous deep colour. It’s a little darker than what I’d usually wear but festive and great for holiday soirées.

Ardell Whispies Mascara

“Many of you will know Ardell for their famous false lashes, so of course we had to try their mascara – it promises to create the same volumized look without the hassle of glue. This fiber-building miracle comes with a special hourglass-shaped wand that creates your favorite faux lash finish in one step.” ($8.90)

Makes my lashes look a mile long (yessss!) and maybe a little fuller than usual, ‘tho I find it hard to tell. Goes on light so you might want to do a few coats. I like it as much as my usual brand and it’s one third of the price.

STYLONDON Eyeshadow Palette

“With high pigmentation that’s visible on all (and yes, we mean all) skin tones, STYLondon comes in with a rich, velvety impact from across the pond.” ($18.48)

What a gorgeous palette! I really want to try the shimmery shadows but I don’t think I’ll get enough use out of the rust and burgundy tones so I’ll gift it.

November’s GLOSSYBOX is valued at $67.36. All of the products are full size, so I think you really get a good bang for your buck with this one.

What do you think of November’s box? Have you tried any of the products?
