Honi Essentials Review November 2016

Honi Essentials Review November 2016

Honi Essentials is one of my favourite subscription box discoveries of 2016. It’s not going to be for everyone, but I happen to LOVE essential oils, so it’s perfect for me. I use essential oils on a daily basis so the idea of receiving 3 new oils every month is very appealing to me. I got to review my first box in October and fell in love immediately.

Honi Essentials Details

If you aren’t familiar with Honi Essentials it is a monthly subscription box sending 3 new essential oils each month. Their oils are premium quality, and one hundred percent pure.

Here’s a look at the oils we received this month:

Patchouli

Earthy, fruit and musky. Eliminates anxiety, treats arthritis inflammation, removes scars left by acne, prevents breakouts associated with allergies.

Patchouli is a very popular essential oil and one I’ve never had the pleasure of using. I did a little research (I LOVE researching essential oils) and found out that it is frequently used in aromatherapy. It uplifts mood, drives away disappointment, and relaxes tension.

Grapefruit

Fresh, sharp, sweet. Weight loss, eliminates acne, relieves anxiety, diuretic.

This is amazing! I went to the health food store two days ago to buy grapefruit essential oil and they were sold out. I love this oil, just inhaling grapefruit vapours helps the body let go of bloating and retained water, headaches, stress, and depression.

Rosemary

Herbaceous, soothing, woodsy. Increases hair growth, decreases physical pain, aids depression, alleviates headaches.

Yay! Another oil I’ve never used before. It smells different than I was expecting it to, it almost has a bit of a Vicks Vaporub smell going on. While researching this one I found a really great eye serum recipe:

  • Mix together almond oil and 12 drops each of Rosemary and Lavender essential oil. Put in roller bottle and use on puffy or red skin under the eyes.
Honi Essentials Review November 2016 – Final Thoughts

Can I just say how much fun this subscription box is. I have been writing this review for over two hours because I can’t stop researching (and smelling) my new oils. I find essential oils so interesting. Each and every one of them has so many health benefits. I’m still not totally comfortable with how to use each one, but that’s part of the fun. I get to look up recipes and suggestions and decide what will work best for me. This month my favourite of the three would be the Rosemary. Did you know that it helps us to process what’s happening around us and within us consciously, instead of burying it with distractions? Seriously, who knew a simple little oil could be so complex……I love it, and I love this subscription!

XOXO
