Hushbug Book Box Review June 2023

Today’s crush is a box I first flirted with last year. It’s expanded its offerings since then and oh my heart! I’m charmed. 🥰 Hushbug Book Box is a monthly subscription box that delivers a newly released rom com, chick lit or contemporary romance book that you get to choose, a treat or snack and 5 to 7 additional surprises. If you’re ordering by the box, you have the option to add an additional book (for a fee) and if you’re a subscriber, you can add up to two books (which naturally costs extra but how fun!). Here’s my Hushbug Book Box for June.*

Hushbug Book Box tucks a wee product card in every box. It’s giving me major summer vibes with the tropical plants and flowers on one side and the beach towel and flip flops on the other (below).

June’s books looked fantastic: Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey; A Love Catastrophe by Helena Hunting; Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler; and the one I picked, The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren.

We’ve been super busy since the end of the school year and it’s slowed my roll reading-wise but I’m so excited to start this one!! (If you haven’t read The Soulmate Equation, not to worry — The True Love Experiment apparently works great as a standalone.)

And we’re just getting started!!

Next we have a water-resistant sunscreen that’s good for people and the planet — this one natural, biodegradable and reef-friendly. I wish it had a higher SPF than just 15 but it’s better than wearing none. Just don’t get so caught up in your book you forget to reapply! Hushbug also included a pack of nail wraps with a tropical pattern. Oh my nails are gonna be CUTE this summer!!

And how great is the bucket hat? It’s reversible (mine is black on the other side) and the material feels thick so you’re gonna get some solid sun protection. Also a pretty 16 oz tumbler for water or you know, some other beverage of your choice. (Hushbug may have some ideas. 😉 ↓)

Margarita and Frosé mix, oh my! 😋 Two single servings of delicious! (I’ve tried both of these before and they’re really tasty. And so easy to make. We want easy in the summer.)

Speaking of tasty, how much do we love gourmet cotton candy? 😋 Especially when it’s pink! 😍😍 Flossie is a new brand of cotton candy made here in Ottawa (just a 10-minute drive from home!). It comes in all kinds of flavours and the packaging is obviously adorable. So fun to see it in June’s box!!

There’s gotta be a dozen Canadian book boxes under the sun, but if you love rom coms, contemporary romance and/or chick lit (and choice! and treats!) I’d recommend Hushbug Book Box in a heartbeat.
