In Your Case Stationery Box Review November 2019
I’m back with another In Your Case Stationery Box review! To give the basic rundown of what each box entails, each month they fill up a box with a variety of cutesy organization items from notebooks, writing utensils, pouch, tape, paper clips, sticky notes, and a mystery item!
You can choose from two boxes, the Mini Box, which includes 5 themed items for $19.99/month, or The Stationery Box which includes 8 special themed items for $29.99/month. These items are typically sweet looking to add a little charm to your desk. They curate a box with a specific theme every month with a little bit of everything.
In addition, this month’s theme was the “live in the moment” collection.
Here is everything in this month’s In Your Case Stationery Box:
Label Stickers
Starting with these sheets of label stickers. They come with 4 sheets of stickers in a variety of shape and sizes. The color choices were yellow neutral, which I like. I’ll most likely put them on my agenda book or label my skincare products. On and yes, you can write on these too which is awesome and I can get some real use out of them.
Paper Clips
These rubbery heart-topped paper clips are a little outdated. There are 3 of them with the word “heart” “love” and.. “Valentine’s Day”. They are cute but I am not sure if I like these with this theme. Very odd choice.
Notebook
This is such a delightful looking 80-page notebook. It is the same as the previous month, standard journal pages and very thin. The cover is light blue with a trailer and “Live in the Moment” written on it. I am going to use up my previous notebook but this one is cute just to have on the desk. I really like the size of the notebook and the designs on these so far! I look forward to the next one too.
Pencils
Pencils! These are such old school pencils where you literally need a sharpener to sharpen them. I wished it came pre-sharpen or with a sharpener because I do not have a spare one just hanging around. They are pink with positive phrases on each, “don’t look back”, “you got this”, “good vibes” and “be smart”. Cute, but not ideal for someone like me who reaches for only pens.
Pen
I’m glad they included this pen. This is a simplistic pink and white design that has an inscription of “like you” on it. It’s a pocket clip pen, a pink cap and the rest is half white and pink. And it’s the straight liquid type ballpoint pen again with black ink, easy to write with on paper. Super happy with this!
Washi Tape
Another consistent item in this box is the washi tape. It is a flexible masking tape with a pink, white, and gold checkered pattern on it to use on a variety of surfaces to make it cutesy. This matches only with some of the items in this box that has pinks to them. I’m probably going to stick this on more random things, like on a skincare container and some other things to make it cute!
Trinket Dish
Oh hello, little trinket dish! This is an adorable item with this box. The design of this falls in line with the notebook and has the inscription “Live in the Moment” on it along with the trailer. I like that they mixed it up instead of adding another tumbler because I don’t want to be that person who is hoarding a bunch of tumblers! There’s not enough space for this kind of stuff if I end up with it every month. This is a nice touch to the theme and I can use it for jewelry, paper clips, or anything that can fit on it. And it is fragile, probably porcelain, so I’m glad they packed this well into the box.
Pouch
Lastly, the pouch. I just cannot get enough of these bags. However, this one is quite small. I don’t like having coins on me but I would image this is what they are for or maybe jewelry pieces when traveling. It’s a very small rectangular zip-up pouch with a tropical design and word “untamed” on it. I kind of wish it was bigger because I do love the design and would have loved to use it as a makeup bag. As I mentioned before, I don’t have a lot of uses for small bags like I’ll try to utilize it somehow because it’s just too cute.
In Your Case Stationery Review October 2019 – Final Thoughts
I’m going to be honest, I have mix feelings about this box. Some items I do like and some were quite underwhelming. The highlight of this box was definitely the pen, tape and the notebook again. Also, the trinket dish was a lovely surprise! The pencil, paper clips and pouch were a bit of a bummer. This month, we got 8 items in a box and everything was neatly packed. Even the little trinket dish was in bubble wrap! Once again, I wished they had a card with the description of the theme. Overall, I still like this subscription but I would have preferred items that are more practical.
