Here’s a closer look at the items I received for the month of November….

Included in every box is a mini pamphlet detailing all of the products featured each month. You’ll get in-depth descriptions and instructions (in English, of course)!

Chica Y Chico One Shot Eye Palette – $25.90

I’m familiar with the brand Chica Y Chico and was so excited to see an eyeshadow palette from them included for this month! Typically, Korean eyeshadows are notorious for being sheer since the beauty trend in Korea has been natural makeup for quite some time now. However, the One Shot Eye Palette from Chica Y Chico is so nice!

This palette is Dress Code #04 Wine Burgundy and contains 6 warm-toned hues in the brown, gold, pink and burgundy color family. There’s also 3 different types of textures – matte, satin, and glittery! The mattes are velvety smooth and the satins are soft, but the glittery gold shade has a stiffer texture that’s best applied with your fingers. Besides the glittery shadow, all of the shades blend effortlessly.

Leegeehaam Master Deep & Quick Mask – $3.50

The Leegeehaam sheet mask is a variant item – you could receive the Deep & Quick Mask in Aqua Care, Tone-Up Care, or Firming Care. I received Aqua Care which contains Hyaluronic Acid and the Vitamin C derivative, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phoaphate, to hydrate and brighten. The sheet mask is made of a soft cotton fabric that sat comfortably on my skin. The fit was great and the mask was oozing with tons of essence. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and my skin was left very hydrated, dewy, and supple!

BEYOND Classic Hand Cream Gel – $5

The hand cream from BEYOND has a lightweight gel-cream texture that my skin soaks up immediately. It’s non-sticky, and provides my hands with lots of moisture. Sadly, this one has a very strong scent that smells just like hand soap or laundry detergent. It smells very fresh and clean, but it’s too strong and overpowering for my liking.

Haute Cuisine Premium Snail Eye Cream – $16

The Premium Snail Eye Cream by Haute Cuisine is amazing! It has a lightweight and airy gel-like texture that sinks into the skin quickly and easily. There’s no tug on the skin and it gives my eyes an immediate drink of moisture. It contains snail mucin, which might sound a little off-putting to some, but it’s a popular K-beauty ingredient that does wonders for my skin. Snail helps plump, heal, and moisturize my skin overnight! I suffer from dry skin around my eyes year round, however, with this, I always wake up with smooth plump skin around my eyes. Plus, this is such a huge tube (30ml) so it’s sure to last a while.

Chica Y Chico One Kill Eyeliner – $12.90

The Chica Y Chico One Kill Eyeliner pen is another variant item that comes in a few different shades. I received the color One Kill Black in my box. I personally prefer pencil liners or gel liners over liquid liners, but the One Kill Eyeliner is fairly easy to use. It comes in the shape of a pen that’s easy to grip and the liner tip is a brush tip. What I love about this brush tip is that it’s easy to control the stroke of the line and how thin or thick you want it to be. Plus, the liner is both smudge and budge-proof!

Joah Box Review November 2018 – Final Thoughts

JoahBox really impressed me with their curation and selection of products again this month! Leegeehaam and Chica Y Chico are two popular brands I’ve known of for years, but this month, I was introduced to Haute Cuisine. I’ve never heard of them before, but their Premium Snail Eye Cream was a hidden gem that helped heal and soothe my dry lids and under-eye area. Another winner for me this month was the Chica Y Chico One Shot Eye Palette. I’ve been reaching for it non-stop when doing my morning makeup for work!

There was a claimed value of $63.30 this month, but I think the actual value is closer to $50 – $55 (if you were to buy each item individually online). However, that doesn’t factor in shipping costs or items that aren’t even available online. I still think you’re getting a bang for your buck even if some of the retail prices can be a little inflated.

Out of all the K-beauty boxes I’ve subbed to in the past, JoahBox is by far my favorite because of how they introduce me to popular favorites, as well as new brands that aren’t easily accessible. I can’t wait to see what’s in store next month!
