Unboxing the August 2024 Journal Junk Box

The theme for this month’s box is “Literary Escapes” and it has really warm, cozy fall vibes. Even though this is the August box, it’s still a great way to get a feel for the types of products and the experience you’ll have with a Journal Junk Box subscription. There may be left over boxes to buy in their shop if you really love this one, but that’s why it’s important to subscribe so you don’t miss out on any future themes!

The prompts they included with this month’s box were all about books – which I personally loved!  For example, prompt 1 was “Write about a book that has deeply inspired you and why.” and Prompt 2, “Describe your perfect reading nook and how it makes you feel.” So simple, yet so helpful for getting the creative juices flowing.

Let’s have a closer look inside the August 2024 Journal Junk Box…

Grateful Beginnings Tote Bag ($22): It says, “A new day filled with gratitude” and it has gorgeous autumn inspired flowers on top of a stack of books. Such a warm, inviting feeling. This tote bag is the perfect size for carrying all your journaling goodies to your favorite coffee shop or library. That’s what I plan to do at least!

Blossoming Dreams Bookmark ($5.99): Such a cute bookmark, with a fun copper colored tassle (who doesn’t love a tassle?!) and I think it’s so thoughtful that they included a protective cover for it. This one will definitely last.

Vintage Rose Pen Set ($9.99): A set of two clickable pens with fine point black ink. I love the way they write – they’re almost a felt tip, but still have that satisfying scratch. I can never have too many pens!

Bookish Tales Sticker Set ($10.99): A 50 piece set of bookish themed stickers and I think my heart just skipped a beat. These are SO cute, they have glasses, books, flowers, lanterns, inspirational quotes, and more – I feel like you can never have too many stickers.

Highlighter Set ($6.99): Ok, so as much as I love pens, would you believe I love highlighters EVEN MORE!? My goodness, I was so excited to see these muted beauties! Dusty mauve, smoky purple, sage green – where have these been all my life?  I absolutely love them.

Notecard & Tea ($5.40): This is so thoughtful! It’s a notecard that comes with a bag of tea! From The Creative Idea Shop. It really is a super creative idea. Now you can send a note to a friend along with a cup of tea. I’m already thinking of who I’ll send this too – and I know she’s going to love it just as much as I do!

Literary Gems Sticker Set ($8.99): More bookish stickers – but these are transparent for a different use.  They come in a mix of sizes and are so adorable. I’ll probably use these in my planner since they’re smaller and have transparent edging.

Notepad: This wasn’t on my product card, but it was a fun find just the same! A lovely literary themed desktop notepad for all the great ideas and all the books I need to remember to read. Love the fall feel too.

Grateful Beginnings Hardcover Journal: And of course our journal, Journal Junk Box includes a new journal with each box and this month it is this hardcover beauty that says, “a new day filled with gratitude” to match our new tote bag. I love the ribbon bookmark and the elastic closure. The pages are lined inside which I appreciate.

 

Journal Junk Box Review August 2024 – Final Thoughts

Another fun unboxing for Journal Junk Box  – this one definitely tugged on my book-nerd heartstrings and felt like a fun literary escape. Each item did its job of inspiring creativity and offering a warm, inviting experience that’s perfect for the upcoming season. From the Grateful Beginnings Tote Bag to the beautiful hardcover journal, every piece in this box made me want to grab a hot cup of tea, find a quiet corner, and lose myself in writing and reading.

I really love how the Journal Junk Box encourages you to take a break from the daily grind and reconnect with yourself through simple yet meaningful activities.
