KidArtLit is a current fave. I have been loving my monthly deliveries so darn much and can’t wait until little Steven is old enough to enjoy them with me. The books are gorgeous, the crafts are fun and they have a wonderful product booklet that ties everything together. It really is a great subscription for children.

In My Dreams I Can Fly

Our October book Is In My Dreams I Can Fly by Eveline Hasler and Kathi Bhend. Here’s a little more info…

Winter is on its way. Below the ground, five friends – a grub, a beetle, two worms, and a caterpillar – are settling in for the winter. But what will they do all winter long? What will they eat? What will they dream of? This charming book offers surprising answers.

The cutest little story about a group of friends and what they do all winter while hiding out under ground. I’m loving this one more than I thought I would.

Art Kit #1 – Insect Painting

For our first art project we are painting insects. We received the following….

  • variety pack of insect paintings
  • paintbrush
  • Peerless Water-colour Palette

Our first art kit is very simple but very fun. I’m actually really excited about this one and might have a hard time saving it for Steven. All we need is a cup of water and maybe some snacks:)

You simply wet the brush, dab it in the color and start painting.

Art Kit #2 – Design A Game

For our second art project we get to design our own game. We received the following….

  • wooden discs
  • insect stickers
  • paintbrushes
  • water-colour sheet
  • permanent marker
  • cloth bag

Our second art kit is also very easy. We simply paint the discs using the water-colour and apply the stickers to the back, this will create our matching game. We then mark the painted side of the discs with an X or an O and this will create our Tic-Tac-Toe game. We can also paint the canvas bag which will be used to store the disc peices.

KidArtLit Review October 2021 – Final Thoughts

As always, I am so impressed with my monthly box from KidArtLit. What a beautiful book and fun art projects! I always end up wanting to do the projects myself but so far I’ve been able to hold off. I love how thoughtful and organized this subscription is. I also love that the art kits include enough supplies for two people. Perfect for Steven and I to do together. I’ve recommend this box to a few moms, friends, and grandmas over the last little while and will continue to do so.
