Kidspire Crate Review February 2021

Kidspire Crate is a premium monthly subscription box that brings some gender balance to your kids’ role models. Packed with fun activities and toys, each crate centers around a book featuring a girl who changed her world. They kindly sent us this box for review.

This is my first time reviewing Kidspire Crate and I’m really excited about it. I think this is such a cute subscription for kids, and at first glance I am very impressed with the curation. Baby Steven is only 1 but I’ve already started an activity cupboard for him so I am going to tuck this box away for when he is ready.

Subscription Details

Each month, the little one in your life will be delighted to receive a surprise Kidspire Crate delivery with five activities including an age-appropriate book featuring a SHEro (a female hero),  a 12-page custom activity workbook, two themed items (crafts, toys, experiments and/or games), and a monthly letter to the grownups with discussion questions.

Kidspire Crates come ready-to-play meaning all the supplies are included to immediately enjoy hours of fun.

Here’s a closer look at what we received in the February Kidspire Crate….

I Am Lucille Ball

First up we have a book about Lucille Ball so we can read all about her. Each month Kidspire Crate features a different female role model. I actually really love that they are featuring Lucille Ball this month because how can you not help but love her?

This book is super cute, full of great information and really sets the tone for the activities provided.

Photo Props

Photo props to use for acting in your own TV show.

Lucille is famous for her hit 1950’s TV show I Love Lucy so it’s very fitting for us to receive these adorable photo props to use for acting in our own TV show. This is the kind of activity I would have loved when I was young. And how great will these be for photos? I will definitely capture some great memories with these.

Clapperboard

Clapperboard for when you’re ready to start your show.

I love that they included a movie clapperboard. It’s such a fun item. Your little one can create their own tv show or movie and use this to start the show. Incorporate the photo props from above and the movie tickets below.

Movie Tickets

Movie ticket stubs to make and hand out to your guests.

Once your little one has created their tv show and practiced using the props they can sell tickets to their guests.

Popcorn Box

Popcorn box to fill with a delicious snack.

Every activity is more fun with snacks so here we have a plastic popcorn box and a cardboard version as well. This is something fun to keep on hand for all your movie nights going forward.

Lucille Ball Pin

Lucille Ball pin to put on your lunch bag or backpack.

Workbook

A fun workbook filled with activities, games and information about Lucille Ball.

Our monthly workbook is filled with fun activities inspired by Lucille Ball. There’s a page with jokes, an I Love Lucy maze, colouring page, and so much more.

Monthly Letter to Grownups

Here we have our monthly letter for grownups. It gives us more information on Lucille Ball, which I loved reading, and it also provides us with discussion questions for ages 3-6 and 6-9.

Kidspire Crate Review February 2021 – Final Thoughts

I mentioned above that this is my first time reviewing Kidspire Crate and I have to say, I am very impressed. I love the idea behind the box and the fact that each month features a female role model. I personally had fun learning about Lucille Ball which tells me this is a great box for grownups and children to enjoy together. I also love the items included in the box and all the fun activities littles can enjoy with them. Kidspire Crate is super cute, fun, and educational. The perfect box for littles!
