Here’s a closer look at the snacks I picked out to receive in my January Laid Back Snacks box….
Mango is our happy food. It reminds us of a childhood spent eating juicy handfulls on long summer days. Sunshine Mango is 100% organic and sweetened by the sun – not an additive in sight. This fruit features an impressive list of health benefits too. Mango helps level out any acid build-up in the body and clears the skin of clogged pores. Sunshine Mango is currently on my faves list because……it’s a healthier version of the dried mango pieces I used to get from Costco. I LOVE that they are unsweetened because I’m really making an effort to limit my sugar intake this year.
Wasabi can be dangerous if mistaken for guacamole. Who hasn’t done that before, right?! That’s why we’ve lightly coated our crunchy peas with wasabi to give you just the right amount of heat in your snack. With both salt and spice, this is a big personality snack for big personality snackers. Wasabi-me isn’t all party though. Its substance includes high protein, high fibre, and high nutrient levels to help you relax throughout your day.
If you like wasabi then the Wasabi Me snack mix is a MUST! I absolutely LOVE this one and try to have it in my pantry at all times. The wasabi peas and the rice sticks go perfectly together. Crunchy, savoury and salty……much better than reaching for a bag of chips.
Invite good karma into your day with Wholesome Yogi. This mix of heart healthy nuts is well balanced with nutritious pumpkin seeds, flavour-filled cranberries, and topped with Greek yogurt chips to help support healthy digestion. Wholesome Yogi is on my list of faves because the yogurt chips, cranberries and cashews make for the BEST snack combination. And….I have an awesome little snack hack for this one, I am just waiting for a couple “tools” to arrive before I share it with you:)
Tuscan Road Trip
Everyone loves a road trip, especially with a companion like this! This scrumptious mix was inspired by our healthy hunger for adventure. Explore new horizons with all the goodness of super-berries, mighty nuts, and delicious dark chocolate. Almonds help build and maintain strong bones, while cherries are considered a great source of dietary fibre. And let’s not forget, dark chocolate is linked to 40+ health benefits. Happy travels!
If you are a trail mix lover (like I am) then you must try Tuscan Road Trip. I love the simplicity (not too much going on) and the dark chocolate. It’s mostly healthy with just the right amount of indulgence.
Welcome to the islands! This tropical treat will escort you to your own private cabana on the beach. Macadamia nuts mingle with island fruits and toasted coconut to give you that cool-dip-on-a-hot-day feeling. Coconut flakes contain manganese for making strong bones and processing cholesterol. Heart-healthy Aloha Kauai is also high in fibre and helps speed along full body healing. Mahalo!
And lastly we have Aloha Kauai which is a current obsession. I LOVE the dried pineapple and macadamia nuts together. I also love the dried banana chips. This one is honestly so good. I have even contemplated ordering an entry box of this flavour alone.
Laid Back Snacks Review January 2022 – Final Thoughts
If you have been wanting to try Laid Backs Snacks, these 5 snacks are the ones you should start with. These are my go-tos, my current faves, my can’t live withouts. You could also throw Hearty Tamari in the mix if you prefer to have more of a balance between savoury and sweet. Maybe sub out Wholesome Yogi or Tuscan Roadtrip for the Heart Tamari and you have the best box of snacks EVER!
