Here’s a closer look at the snacks I picked out to receive in my November Laid Back Snacks box….

Wholesome Yogi

Invite good karma into your day with Wholesome Yogi. This mix of heart healthy nuts is well balanced with nutritious pumpkin seeds, flavour-filled cranberries, and topped with Greek yogurt chips to help support healthy digestion. Remember to breathe and enjoy one of the most nutritionally beneficial snacks we offer. Wholesome Yogi will leave you feeling like you’ve just woken from a long, deep savasana. Namaste!

Wholesome Yogi is a mix of almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, yogurt chips and cranberries. It’s the first one on my “faves” list because it is PERFECT for this time of year. The cranberry/yogurt chip combo makes me think of Winter. This is my go-to afternoon snack for the holiday season because it pairs perfectly with the Candy Cane Crush tea from DAVIDsTEA.

Wasabi Me

Wasabi can be dangerous if mistaken for guacamole. Who hasn’t done that before, right?! That’s why we’ve lightly coated our crunchy peas with wasabi to give you just the right amount of heat in your snack. With both salt and spice, this is a big personality snack for big personality snackers. Wasabi-me isn’t all party though. Its substance includes high protein, high fibre, and high nutrient levels to help you relax throughout your day.

Next on my “faves” list is Wasabi Me which is a mix of roasted wasabi peas, rice sticks and roasted peas. This is the one I reach for when craving something salty. Actually, a fun little fact for you, this was one of the snacks I brought with me to the hospital when I was in labor with baby Steven. I love it THAT much. And…..come this time of year I start to crave my mini vegan charcuterie boards and I often add a sprinkling of Wasabi Me to the board for a little added crunch. Stay tuned because I’m going to share this with you in a separate post.

Tuscan Road Trip

Everyone loves a road trip, especially with a companion like this! This scrumptious mix was inspired by our healthy hunger for adventure. Explore new horizons with all the goodness of super-berries, mighty nuts, and delicious dark chocolate. Almonds help build and maintain strong bones, while cherries are considered a great source of dietary fibre. And let’s not forget, dark chocolate is linked to 40+ health benefits. Happy travels!

Tuscan Road Trip is a mix of chocolate, blueberries, dried cherries, roasted cashews and almonds. This is a must-have because it’s perfect for…..you guessed it….road trips. Or in my case, running errands with the Hubby and Baby. I LOVE going for drives because it’s often the only time I get to sit in once place and actually enjoy my coffee. And with my coffee I like to have a little snack and what goes better with coffee than chocolate, nuts and dried fruit!

Aloha Kauai

Welcome to the islands! This tropical treat will escort you to your own private cabana on the beach. Macadamia nuts mingle with island fruits and toasted coconut to give you that cool-dip-on-a-hot-day feeling. Coconut flakes contain manganese for making strong bones and processing cholesterol. Heart-healthy Aloha Kauai is also high in fibre and helps speed along full body healing. Mahalo!

Aloha Kauai is up next and this one includes banana chips, pineapple, macadamia nuts and coconut. This is one I reach for when craving something sweet. It’s one of my faves because I LOVE macadamia nuts and banana chips. This is a MUST-HAVE!

Orchard Apple

Snack time can often get messy. Our Orchard Apple is the perfectly packaged snack food with no sticky texture, or badly behaved nuts to worry about. Fresh from the orchard, this apple has a soft and comforting chew, which is sometimes a nice change from our more crunchy snacks. Apples are rich in vitamin B, C and antioxidants, and the pectin helps to reduce bad cholesterol. It really is true what they say – an apple a day!

Last on my faves list is the apple rings because I’m slowly starting to look for toddler-friendly snacks, and so far this one is the best option for little Steven. It’s a great snack for him to have while we are driving because it’s not messy. And….I have a fun little snack hack for this one that I will share with you shortly…….
