Let’s Go Eco Review Spring 2022

Let’s Go Eco is the ultimate eco-friendly, natural, sustainable and PLASTIC-FREE subscription box. Boxes are filled with the latest eco-conscious brands and trends in home, fashion, health and wellness and are specially curated to help people live a more low waste, more eco-conscious lifestyle. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Let’s Go Eco is such a lovely subscription box. It’s a quarterly reminder to be kind to our planet and it provides me with all the eco-friendly goodies I need. I often end up discovering new brands, and new ways to live an eco-friendly life.

Subscription Details

Let’s Go Eco Boxes arrive 4 times a year packed full of eco-awesome items like low waste swaps, quality reusables and plastic-free, all natural, handcrafted items from small Canadian businesses.

Each box has at least 7 items and offers 35% or more off regular retail prices.

Plastic-free including the packaging using the most environmentally-friendly options available.  Labels are compostable with adhesive made from sugar cane, tissue and stickers printed using soy-based ink and boxes made from 100% recycled paper.

Handwoven Seagrass Grocery & Picnic Bag

Handwoven from renewable seagrass these gorgeous bags are the perfect replacement for plastic grocery bags. Both beautiful and strong, they are also great for gardening, going to the beach, picnics, carrying books or whatever you can imagine. There are 9 different beautiful designs and you’ll receive one at random.

You all know how I feel about reusable bags….I LOVE them! This one is unlike anything I currently own. It is absolutely beautiful and will be the perfect beach bag for Steven and I. I am curious to see the other colors it was available in. I’m sure they were all beautiful!

Vegan Food Wraps (Set of 3)

Replace wasteful plastic wrap with this variety-size vegan wax wrap set. These wraps are a MUST for every low-waste kitchen. We’re happy to have found these made from soy and candelilla wax instead of traditional beeswax. You get one of four spring inspired designs randomly in your box. 

This is something I am always happy yo receive. I was introduced to food wraps thanks to my subscription boxes and I have fallen in love with them. I also got my sister-in-law hooked on them and will often share them with her. They are so easy to use and the perfect replacement for plastic wrap.

Hot & Cold Therapy Bag/Compress

Wheat bags, also known as therapy bags, can be used as a hot or cold compress. Freeze to reduce puffy eyes and help soothe headaches or heat in the microwave and use to rehydrate and soothe dry eyes. Handmade from all natural materials, cotton flannel and filled with Canadian prairie wheat from local farmers in Saskatchewan. 

I have never used a compress bag but I am very excited to give it a try. I love the idea of freezing the bag and using it to reduce puffy eyes. Something us Mamas are always struggling with:)

Handmade, Raw Superfood Energy Bars

Haumâna founders Sidi and Guillaume are on a mission with one simple goal – create the best energy bars for our planet, our communities and our health. Introducing their unbelievable energy bars handmade in Montreal. Vegan, organic, raw, sugar free, gluten-free and made from fairly traded Baobab fruit (a superfood high in vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber). Packaged in compostable pouches. You’ll get one of two flavours randomly in your box. 

Funny enough…..I just discovered this brand of energy bars about a month ago and they actually have their own subscription box. I am SO excited to try these because they are vegan and sugar-free. It is SO hard to find sugar-free snacks these days so I have high hopes for these.

Two-Tiered Stainless Steel Bento Box

We decided to take one of our most popular on the go items from our shop and share it with you this spring. This bento box is made from durable, high-quality stainless steel, is leak proof and endlessly reusable. It has 2-levels to carry more and lets you keep your salad separate from your sandwich (or other yummy treats). Food-grade, BPA/PVC free, leak proof, made from stainless steel and silicone, rust proof and dishwasher safe.

I love, love, love Bento Boxes! I often use these for little Steven’s lunches and snacks. I like that I can put a sandwich in the bottom and veggies in the top. But I also like to use them specifically for snacks. Perfect for road trips. I can put crunchy items in the bottom (fish crackers, veggie straws) and chewy snacks in the top (dried fruit).

Handcrafted Bannock Mix

We proudly support Indigenous businesses and this spring we’d like to share Bangin’ Bannock’s handcrafted Bannock mix with you. Experience some Indigenous culture and make your own at home using this convenient dry mix in eco-friendly, compostable packaging. Bannock is a yummy fried bread and historically was a staple for many indigenous people and ingrained in their culture.

This is an item I won’t personally get use out of but my best friend is going to LOVE it! I already have it set aside for her. She loves Bannock and is going to be so excited to make her own at home.

Portable Travel Straw

Litter-ally at least 500 million straws are used everyday around the world. It’s no wonder single use plastic straw use has captured so much attention over the last few years. Be green on the go, pop this on your key chain and say no to single use plastics and never use another plastic straw again.

I have a HUGE collection of travel straws, they are a very popular subscription box item (to be totally honest) but I will either gift this one or pop it in our car for emergencies.

Let’s Go Eco Review Spring 2022 – Final Thoughts

The Spring Let’s Go Eco is the perfect mix of eco-friendly goodies and fun snacks. I wouldn’t say that it is my favourite box to date but it’s still pretty great. The Seagrass bag is absolutely beautiful and it’s getting me excited for picnics at the park. I will fill it with the Haumâna bars, our new Bento Box, some drinks and our reusable straw. Steven and I will have so much fun packing up all our new goodies and heading outside for lunch dates. I can’t wait!
