Let’s Go Eco Review Summer 2020

Let’s Go Eco is the ultimate eco-friendly, natural, sustainable and PLASTIC-FREE subscription box. Boxes are filled with the latest eco-conscious brands and trends in home, fashion, health and wellness and are specially curated to help people live a more low waste, more eco-conscious lifestyle. Just in time for #plasticfreejuly I received my very first Let’s Go Eco box. I’ve had my eye on this subscription for quite some time and am very excited to be reviewing the Summer box. I hope it’s the first of many:)

I’m slowly transitioning to a plastic free lifestyle….well as much as I possibly can given my limited time and need for convenience now that baby is here….so I truly appreciate subscription boxes like Let’s Go Eco because they do all the research and shopping for me. Saving me time and money and allowing me to switch out more plastic items than I would be able to on my own.

Plastic-free including the packaging using the most environmentally-friendly options available.  Labels are compostable with adhesive made from sugar cane, tissue and stickers printed using soy-based ink and boxes made from 100% recycled paper.

Here’s a peek at the items we received in the Summer Let’s Go Eco box…..

Natural Shampoo + Conditioner Bars ($13/$16)

Handmade, small batch, all natural. Made with luxurious butters and exotic oils to leave your hair feeling soft and silky. Scented with an intoxicating and fresh smelling blend of rosemary and peppermint essential oils and comes packaged in plastic-free reusable tins. The shampoo deep cleans and naturally moisturizes. The conditioner is extra moisturizing and an effective detangler that doesn’t weight down hair.

I am SO excited to try these bars! Not only do they save space but they are travel-friendly, plastic-free and they smell amazing! You just run the wet bar through your hair, massage the shampoo into a thick lather, and allow the conditioner to sit before rinsing. I honestly can’t stop smelling these lovely little tins.

Natural Adventurer Sunscreen ($13)

All-natural and safe for the entire family. Whether you are out for the day at the water slides, skiing or just working in the garden this sunscreen is an excellent and a much more natural alternative for skin types.

Again, I am loving the convenience of the packaging. This tin is travel friendly, will fit in a small pocket, and it is of course plastic-free. I love that this sunscreen is natural and safe for the entire family. I am very conscious of the products I use now that baby Steven is here.

Natural Eco Lip Balm ($6)

One of our most popular and requested eco items! This all-natural, petroleum-free formula contains castor-seed oil and beeswax to soften and moisturize, and leaves a light, silk barrier to protect your lips from the harshest of elements.

LOVE the cardboard packaging for this lip balm. And I love the compact size. It’s smaller than a regular lip balm but I am totally ok with that. It’s lemon/ginger scented and made with a wonderful list of ingredients.

Stainless Steel Water Bottle ($25)

Sleek, stylish and endlessly usable, this stainless steel water bottle has a sustainable bamboo cap. The list of its eco-benefits is long but most important is it is incredibly durable, long-lasting, easy to clean and plastic free.

I am always happy to received reusable water bottles. We take them with us everywhere and I always have at least two in the car. The hubby and I both try to drink as much water as we can so we will both benefit from this item.

Stainless Steel Travel Cutlery Set + 3 Straws ($20)

Ditch single use plastic. Go green and improve our world. The travel cutlery set comes with 6 durable stainless pieces. Included are 3 straws – one of them the latest trending, extra wide boba straw (for bubble tea or frozen margaritas!) They are easy to clean, compact and packs neatly in a washable cotton pack.

How great is this cutlery set! It’s exactly what we need for the travel bag we keep in the car. I like to have items like this in the bag for road trips…..I just might have to get a second one so the hubby and I both have a set.

Glee Gum ($3)

Most gum is made of…..that’s right…..plastic! But not Glee! This gum is made with chicle, a tree sap harvest sustainably to help conserve the rainforest.

Umm…..how did I not know that gum is made with plastic?! Or did I know and subconsciously blocking this disturbing fact from my memory. Either way, I am very happy that Let’s Go Eco has provided me with such great information….as well as a plastic-free gum.

Stainless Steel Bento Box & Mini Snack Tin ($28/$5)

Made from durable, high-quality stainless steel, these containers are beautiful, leak proof and endlessly reusable. The snack tin is perfect for nuts, dips and salad dressings.

I am almost rid of all the plastic containers in our house and have been slowly purchasing glass and/or metal replacements so this is MUCH appreciated. I love that they included a mini snack tin with it….perfect for dressings and dips.

PS – The bento box came in a beautiful reusable canvas bag.

Welcome Gift

Here’s a lovely scarf which was included as a welcome gift similar to what new subscribers would receive. It’s absolutely gorgeous and perfect for the upcoming season…..Fall!

Let’s Go Eco Review Summer 2020 – Final Thoughts

The Summer 2020 Let’s Go Eco box is absolutely perfect! I am so glad I finally got my hands on this box and really hope to be able to share it with you more often. They have done a wonderful job. Every detail has been thought of. The environmentally-friendly packaging, the product mix, the reasonable price point, and the informative product card. I will get use out of every single item and am SO happy to be able to switch out a few more plastic items for environmentally-friendly versions. Let’s Go Eco is going to help me live a more low waste, more eco-conscious lifestyle and i truly appreciate that!
