Lillypost Review April 2020

Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.

Last month I talked about how much I love our Lillypost Subscription, and as much as I am tempted to talk about that again this month, there’s something a little more important to talk about before we get to the review.

Lillypost Gives Back – Did you know that for every box that is purchased, Lillypost will donate one book to a child in need through various charities? How great is that?! I already loved this box and now I love it even more. A box that gives back is a box I can confidently stand behind. Especially when they support children’s charities. No child should go without.

Subscription Details

Lillypost was founded on the idea that reading is fundamental to the development of every child. The love of books and learning starts early in life and what better way to ignite that love, than a child receiving an entirely new set of books every month? Discover books for the special little one in your life from newborn to 7 years old at up to 70% off retail price!

What You Get: Each box includes 4 board books or 3 picture books (or a mix of both!) to engage and entertain.

Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for April…

Coloring Contest

Each month, your little one can enter our fun colouring contest! All you have to do is color, paint or draw our fox, Finnley, into this month’s theme – right on the bottom of the Lillypost box! Get creative, take a picture and post it on either Facebook or Instagram using #lillypostbox.

Things that Go

Feel playful shapes with little fingers! Little ones will love exploring shapes of vehicles in this die-cut board book. Vehicle facts are found on each page as cutout shapes fit snuggly into one another.

I have a feeling this will be my husband’s favorite book to read to Steven. He LOVES his cars, and trucks, and tractors, and basically anything with wheels so this is the perfect book for them to read together. Each page has a cutout which provides something for Steven to touch and feel.

Baa, Moo, I Love You!

Encourage a love of learning as little ones discover animal sounds. In this book, children will:

  • meet six animals and learn their sounds
  • sharpen their listening and learning skills
  • celebrate how much they are loved

This is the cutest little book and the perfect way for Steven to learn what animals say. Some of the pages have tabs, which is pretty darn fun, and the illustrations are adorable!

First Animal Facts – Garden

This first book of garden animals is packed with fun facts and beautiful color illustrations to entertain you and your child with every read.

This fun little garden animal book is full of fun facts. It’s a great way for baby to learn about animals, what they eat, where they live, what they do…..and more!

Rocky Raccoon and Other Woodland Friends

Meet woodland animals of all shapes and sizes in this colourful collection of forest friends! The Alphaprints characters and amusing rhymes will make everyone giggle.

I don’t love this book as much as the others but it’s still pretty fun. Each page has a fingerprint texture, perfect for your little one to touch, and the rhymes will make it fun to read.

Lillypost Review April 2020 – Final Thoughts

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how wonderful this subscription is?! Lillypost has quickly become a favorite subscription, for a number of reasons. I love that they are a subscription box specifically for children’s books. I love the extremely reasonable price point. I LOVE that the board book option includes 4 books each month. I love the packaging and that they host a colouring contest each month. And I love that for every box that is purchased, Lillypost will donate one book to a child in need through various charities. What’s not to love?!
