Lillypost Review July 2020

Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.

Steven is almost 5-months old and I absolutely love reading with him. I can only imagine how much that love will grow as he gets older and is able to focus, touch, feel, and interact with the books we are reading. We read as often as we can so I just couldn’t imagine not receiving a Lillypost box each month. It really is a must-have subscription in ouR house. Steven and I love it that much!

Subscription Details

Lillypost was founded on the idea that reading is fundamental to the development of every child. The love of books and learning starts early in life and what better way to ignite that love, than a child receiving an entirely new set of books every month? Discover books for the special little one in your life from newborn to 7 years old at up to 70% off retail price!

What You Get: Each box includes 4 board books or 3 picture books (or a mix of both!) to engage and entertain.

Lillypost Gives Back – For every box that is purchased, Lillypost will donate one book to a child in need through various charities.

Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for July…

Coloring Contest

“Each month, your little one can enter our fun colouring contest! All you have to do is color, paint or draw our fox, Finnley, into this month’s theme – right on the bottom of the Lillypost box! Get creative, take a picture and post it on either Facebook or Instagram using #lillypostbox.”

All Kids Are Good Kids

“All kids are good kids, and every kid is one of a kind.”

This is such a cute book and it provides such a good message for little ones. I remember comparing myself to other kids when I was young as I just assumed that certain traits and personality characteristics were better than others. This book will teach Steven that all kids are good and I love that.

Everybody Needs a Buddy

“This charming board book about animal friendships highlights the ways animals care for each other! Because everybody needs a buddy.”

Another adorable book with a wonderful message….I’m sensing a theme. This will teach Steven that his friends can be different from him and that won’t make them any less of a friend….in fact, it might make them a better friend:)

Look and Learn Colors

“Look inside and learn about colors in this first tabs book! Little ones will love matching the shadow images to colourful pictures while learning first sounds and words. Perfect parent-child sharing time.”

I love books that teach numbers, letters, or in this case….colors. Each page features a different color and provides examples of things that are that color. For example, on the red page we see things like apples, ladybugs and my favorite….a fire truck.

Alphabet Train

“Help your child learn the alphabet, identify animals and develop problem-solving skills with this colourful jigsaw book.”

Isn’t this a fun book! Not only will it teach Steven the alphabet but it also turns in to a puzzle. Each page has a different piece that you can remove. Put them all together and you will have an alphabet puzzle train!

Lillypost Review July 2020 – Final Thoughts

The July Lillypost book selection didn’t pique my interest at first glance but as I went through each book and got myself familiar with them I realized that the selection is in fact wonderful. Two of the books will teach Steven valuable lessons and two of the books will teach him fundamentals such as colors and letters. The July Lillypost provided us with 4 more books that I am excited to add to Steven’s book collection.
