Lillypost Review June 2020

Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.

Steven and I officially started reading just this past week. I have incorporated reading time in to our night routine. He can sit comfortably on my lap and hold his head up so I figured it was time. And of course our first book was one from our Lillypost boxes. It was so cute to watch Steven’s face as I flipped the pages. He sat quietly, with the odd little coo here and there, while I read the entire book. This just solidifies the fact that Lillypost is a must-have subscription for anyone with children.

Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for June…

Coloring Contest

Each month, your little one can enter our fun colouring contest! All you have to do is color, paint or draw our fox, Finnley, into this month’s theme – right on the bottom of the Lillypost box! Get creative, take a picture and post it on either Facebook or Instagram using #lillypostbox.

My Book of Opposites

Learn all about opposites with this lovable cast of characters. Big ideas for little learners.

How cute is this book? It’s so simple yet so fun. What a great way to teach your little one what opposites are. Each page features a different example of opposites….that’s it…..nothing less, nothing more.

Busy Little Bee

Follow along with Busy Bee as she greets all of her animal friends throughout the day. With whimsical illustrations and a playful rhyming story, this adorable board book is sure to become a favorite for babies and toddlers. Unique, shaped pages are perfectly designed for little hands to turn, making read-together time tons of fun.

Such a unique and colourful book! I just absolutely love the shaped pages and the circle cutout in the middle. It makes it easy for little hands to grab and flip the pages.

Who’s That Dog

Race around the neighbourhood with this crazy dog to see what kind of trouble he gets into! How wild and clumsy can one dog be? You’d be surprised.

As I was opening the box this month I sat with Steven and showed him each book one by one. And as soon as he saw this one he got a big smile on his face. It’s safe to say this is going to be his favorite of the four.

My First Town

With first words to learn and lots to seek and find, this colourful town book with giant flaps is an adventure for toddlers.

I would have LOVED this book when I was little. Each page has a flap to lift up as well as a game of seek and find. I love the detailed illustrations. So fun to look at.

Lillypost Review June 2020 – Final Thoughts

Lillypost continues to be a favourite. Have I mentioned that before? And even more so now that Steven and I are reading together. We started about a week ago. Every night before bed we sit in our comfy rocking chair, Steven in my lap, and we read one of our Lillypost books. So far we have read two of the books with a “goodnight” theme. The one from last month’s box is my favorite and I keep going back to it. I honestly can’t say enough about our Lillypost subscription…..Steven and I both love it!
