Lillypost Review October 2021

Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.

Our October Lillypost is here and I was SO looking forward to this one. I LOVE our February, October and December boxes because I know that they will include at least one holiday-themed book, and those always end up being my faves. I’m excited to share this one with you.

Subscription Details

Lillypost was founded on the idea that reading is fundamental to the development of every child. The love of books and learning starts early in life and what better way to ignite that love, than a child receiving an entirely new set of books every month? Discover books for the special little one in your life from newborn to 7 years old at up to 70% off retail price!

What You Get: Each box includes 4 board books or 3 picture books (or a mix of both!) to engage and entertain.

Lillypost Gives Back – For every box that is purchased, Lillypost will donate one book to a child in need through various charities.

Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for October…

Forest Homes

Each page has a push-tab with a pull tab hidden inside! Push and pull to see what our funny animal friends are up to. It’s an engaging introduction to forest life.

I have to say….Steven LOVES the push/pull books as of late. He hasn’t totally mastered the push back in technique, and usually ends up damaging the page slightly, but I totally don’t mind. He loves them, and I love that he loves them, ha!

Trick or Treat on My Street

Count with me and trick-or-treat from house to house along my street. Join the Halloween monsters, creatures, and characters in search of treats.

Yay!!! I was hoping to see a Halloween themed book in our box this month and here it is! It arrived just in time as we still have over a week until the big day. This will be our go-to bedtime book for the next little while.

When I Grow Up I Want to Be….

Children can learn about many interesting careers in this lift the flap book. Flaps to lift and simple text under the flaps make this the perfect book for young, curious minds.

Flap books are also a favorite in the Colussi house, any sort of interactive feature goes over well with the little guy. This one is super cute and we don’t have a career themed book yet. I come from a family of Firefighters so it will be interesting to see if that comes up at all once Steven starts learning about the different things he can be when he grows up.

Count 1 2 3

Each page of this interactive counting book incorporates large, grooved numbers, complete with directional arrows, for children to finger trace. Lift the flap to discover what lies underneath.

The perfect book for learning numbers. We aren’t quite at this point yet, but at the same time it’s never too early to learn. This will be a great intro to numbers for little Steven.

Lillypost Review October 2021 – Final Thoughts

I can’t even tell you the number of times I have recommend Lillypost over the last year or so. We absolutely love this subscription in our house and I truly consider it a must-have. I especially love our October box since it includes a Halloween-themed book. The holiday books always win me over.

Four new books to add to Steven’s library……I’m one happy Mama:)
