Lit Love Book Box is a monthly book subscription box for people who love to read! They’re such a fun brand and have a few different options for subscriptions that are really unique – there’s sure to be something for every book lover. We’ll get into the different subscription options in a minute. Before that thought, one thing I love about Lit Love Book Box is that they let you choose the book when you’re signing up for a subscription! There’s a drop-down menu, and you can pick whatever book most appeals to you, or you can select to be surprised and it tells you what the genre is for the surprise book! I think that is so brilliant and I love the way they’ve set it up.
This month, I had the pleasure of reviewing their newest subscription option, their BLISS box. The Lit Love Bliss Box launched in July and has two options to choose from. The Deluxe which includes 5-7 items, or the Mini which includes 3-4 items.
They kindly sent us this box for review.
Lit Love Bliss Box Subscription Details
Lit Love Book Box launched its newest subscription, its BLISS box in July. This new subscription is book optional – which means you can opt out of receiving a book altogether, and just receive the goodies that come with it – or you can get the book and the goodies. Every month, they partner with one brand and feature a variety of items from that brand’s product line. Items range from bath, shower, skincare, beauty, and occasionally some home accessories.
Subscribers of the Bliss Box can choose from two options. The Deluxe subscription includes 5-7 items while the Mini subscription includes 3-4. It’s the perfect box for pampering and unwinding and makes a great gift. Bonus: gift options are available!
Lit Love Book Box ships to both Canada and the US and subscriptions are monthly.

Unboxing the August 2024 Lit Love Book Box
This box smelled sooo good even before I opened it! My whole office smelled like a spa in the best way possible. I couldn’t wait to see what was inside! I received the deluxe Bliss box with a book. You can choose to get a book or not, or you can choose a mini option that includes fewer products – with or without a book. I love that Lit Love Book Box has so many customization options so you really feel like you’re getting exactly what you want.
Here’s a closer look at the August Lit Love Book Box…
A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston: It was an immediate yes for me when I pulled this vibrant book of all my favorite colors out of the box! Here’s a description of the book:
“Elsy loves to get lost in a good happily ever after. The fictional kind, anyway. Because at least imaginary men don’t leave you at the altar. She feels safe in stories. That might be why she’s so set on going to her book club’s annual retreat this year – she needs good friends, cheap wine, and grand romantic gestures – no matter what. When her car unexpectedly breaks down on the way she finds herself stranded in a quaint town that seems like it’s right out of a novel. Because it is. This place can’t be real, and yet…she’s here, in Eloraton, the town from her favorite romance series. It feels like home. It’s perfect – and perfectly frozen, trapped in the late author’s last, unfished story. Elsy is sure she’s there to help bring the town to its storybook ending. Except there is a character whom she can’t place – a grumpy bookstore owner with mint green eyes, an irritatingly sexy mouth, and impeccable taste in novels. And he does not want her to finish this book. Which is a problem, because Elsy is beginning to think the town’s happily ever after might be intertwined with her own.”
I love this surprise pick from Lit Love Book Box – it sounds so whimsical and fun and I’m excited to read it.
Bookmark: They included a fun bookmark, which I very much appreciate, that says, “this is my emotional support bookmark.” Hilarious!
All of the products that are included in the Bliss box this month are from the brand Apt. 6. Their packaging is so classy and the scents coming from this box are out of this world. Here’s a look at what we received:
Hygge Linen & Room Spray: We are starting off strong with this one! It’s a 4-ounce glass bottle and has a delicious zesty scent. The scent description says it has notes of red currant and thyme. To me, it almost smells citrusy in a fresh linen way! (I really wish screen smells were a thing so you could experience it through the screen!). It’s not too overbearing at all, and I’ll absolutely be using this in my office.
Shower Steamers: Ok THIS is what smells so good in this box! It’s a set of 6 menthol eucalyptus mint shower steamers. I’m obsessed with shower steamers! I don’t do a lot of baths, sometimes I do – but mostly I’m a shower person – but being a shower person means you miss out on all the fun bath bombs and products that are so popular. Shower steamers bring the fun to shower people and these are so soothing and invigorating. I can’t wait to use them.
Coconut & White Clay Mask: This is neat – you mix it with warm water to make a paste which you then apply to your face and let dry for 10-12 minutes before rinsing. It’s a gentle exfoliating mask. How interesting! I actually love that it’s dry and is intended to be made to use so that it lasts longer. So smart.
Sunnyside Candle: Oh my word this is yummy! I’m such a candle girlie, but I’ve never had one in this scent combo before. Scented of apricot, citrus, vanilla, and honey – it’s hitting all the right notes. I love the amber jar and the fact that it’s an 8-ounce size means it’ll last a while! Really love this one.
Grapefruit & Neroli Hand & Body Lotion: An 8-ounce bottle of lotion with a pump – yes, please! I love it when brands use pumps in their lotions – it’s so much more functional. This one smells lovely with notes of tangy grapefruit.
Grapefruit & Lime Lip Balm: I was so excited to see this little lippie in the box because I just ran out and needed a new one (anyone else a lip balm addict too?) This one has the perfect flavor of grapefruit and lime. I have a feeling this will be one of my new faves.
Lit Love Book Box Review August 2024 – Final Thoughts
The packaging, the products, the book – the whole experience was a 10/10 for the August Lit Love Book Box’s BLISS box! Such an indulgent pampering box and a lovely mixture of products. When I think about reading, I think about relaxing, quieting my mind, and escaping the chaos around me – and Lit Love really provides the opportunity to take that one step further. The pampering products, the mixture of vibrant and calming scents – it really feels like a moment of self-care.
This box was an absolute joy to receive and I felt like it was the box that kept on giving! Everything inside is perfect for taking the time to care for and treat yourself. I would absolutely recommend it and I look forward to seeing what they do next!
