This month, I had the pleasure of reviewing their BLISS box.  The Lit Love Bliss Box always includes a book as well as up to 7 pampering, relaxation or self-care goodies to go with the book.

Lit Love Bliss Box Subscription Details

Lit Love Book Box launched its newest subscription, its BLISS box in July.  This new subscription is book optional – which means you can opt out of receiving a book altogether, and just receive the goodies that come with it – or you can get the book and the goodies. Every month, they partner with one brand and feature a variety of items from that brand’s product line.  Items range from bath, shower, skincare, beauty, and occasionally some home accessories.

Subscribers of the Bliss Box can choose from two options. The Deluxe subscription includes 5-7 items while the Mini subscription includes 3-4. It’s the perfect box for pampering and unwinding and makes a great gift. Bonus: gift options are available!

Unboxing the October 2024 Lit Love Book Box

I remember last time I received my Lit Love Bliss Box it smelled amazing, and the same is true for this month! It smelled so fresh and invigorating from the moment I brought it inside – before I even opened it.  I love when that happens because that always means there’s something really special inside.

Something cool about Lit Love’s Bliss Box is, you can choose to get a book or not, or you can choose a mini option that includes fewer products – with or without a book.  I love that Lit Love Book Box has so many customization options so you really feel like you’re getting exactly what you want.

Here’s a closer look at the October Lit Love Book Box…

The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden: This was their pick from the thriller genre and it sounds like the perfect winter read, doesn’t it?! Here’s a description of the book:

I was very pleased with this surprise pick from the team at Lit Love – I’m not usually a thriller reader, but wanted to try something new, and I love that I can trust their recommendations in sending me something that won’t disappoint.  I’m looking forward to reading this one cozied up by the fire this winter.

All of the products that are included in the Bliss box this month are from the brand Sealuxe Organics.  I have never heard of this brand before, but it is an instant yes for me! Their packaging is so chic and luxurious – and the scents coming from this box are right up my alley. Here’s a look at what we received:

Cedar + Birch + Pine Candle: I’m a bit of a candle snob, but this one was a total winner. I absolutely love the chic grey tin that it comes in, and the fact that it’s a blend of coconut and soy wax. It smells really festive – almost like a mix of Christmas trees and crisp winter air.  I really liked it. It’s a unique scent, but one I’m definitely excited to welcome this season.  I also want to point out that it’s a really decent size! This baby is over 6 ounces. That’s a tremendous value in and of itself. It’s also all natural, sustainable, and vegan.

Ritual Rose Bath Tea: This is definitely one of the yummy scents coming from the box this month!  It’s a beautiful blend of salt and rose petals, for a decadent soak. I’m super excited about this one because it even includes a little reusable muslin tea bag so that the rose petals and seaweed stay contained in the bath.  It’s intended to alleviate tired muscles, sore joints, and general achiness while enjoying the comforting scent of roses.  I love to have special things like this for bath time. I don’t have time for a lot of baths, but when I do, I like making them special. This is definitely going to do that trick. Again, an enormous size and value – this is 8 ounces! I think it will last multiple baths…maybe 5 or so.

Charcoal Face Mask: This is neat – you mix it with warm water to make a paste which you then apply to your face and let dry for 10-12 minutes before rinsing. It acts like a deep cleaning magnet to absorb oil, dirt, and toxins. I love a good charcoal mask and I especially appreciate that this is one I can mix up as needed which saves space in my bathroom.  So thoughtful!

Seaweed Body Scrub: Ok this might be my favorite item in the box so far!  It’s a gigantic (11.6 ounce) jar of Seaweed based body scrub! I’m a big fan of exfoliating prior to shaving, and all over really for brightening and sloughing away dead skin cells, but I’ve never tried a seaweed based scrub before.  While it doesn’t say if there is a special benefit to using seaweed as a body scrub, I’m really looking forward to giving this a shot. It smells nice and earthy too, which I like.

Ocean Flora Soap: This may be small, but it packs a mighty punch! It smells so good! I can definitely spot eucalyptus and mint, but it also reminds me of that clean fresh scent that you might find in a spa. Maybe a little lavender in there too?  It includes salts, seaweed, sea clay and water to form a spa like experience while cleansing. It’s almost too pretty to use!

Mint Lip Balm: I always love getting a lip balm in boxes because it’s something I burn through so fast! This one is really yummy, a nice sweet mint in a lovely glass jar. Again, it’s going to last a while! It’s definitely oversized. I also like the cute floral print on the lid. It just makes it feel fancy.

Lit Love Book Box Review October 2024 – Final Thoughts

Lit Love Bliss Box did it again! This one is always so thoughtful and intentional. When you’re siginging up for a subscription called “Bliss Box” – you kind of expect a certain level of standard, and Lit Love delivers on that every time.  They do such a good job of curating really high quality, valuable products that truly feel special.  It’s a lovely way to incorporate more self-care (and get a great book in the process!).
