Loti Wellness Box Review July 2020

Loti Wellness Box is a Canadian subscription box that offers practical skills and products to reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing. You will find in your box 5 to 8 quality wellness and lifestyle products to remind you to take the time for self-care in all different aspects of your life. Coming along, there is a workbook filled with therapeutic activities and guided materials related to the month’s theme.

Depending on your preference, you can receive a Loti Wellness Box every month or bi-monthly. The cost per box is $49.95 + $5.99 for shipping (in Canadian dollars). Every box has a retail value of approximately $85 ($100 this month!), so it is totally worth it.

I love the look of Loti Wellness Box. The blue is calming and the message on it is inspiring. We can see it a little bit everywhere we find the logo: “Be Kind, Be Bold, Be Glad, Live Loti”. There is usually a beautifully designed sticker to close the box, but it was not on my box this month.

This month’s Loti Wellness Box theme is “Self-Care Recharge”. I received a workbook related to the theme and 6 items. Time to assess what we have done to improve our self-care in the past 6 months and to plan for the next months. Loti Wellness Box kindly sent me this box for review and I am pleased to share my thoughts on the carefully chosen items and activities I received.

Natural Deodorant Spray from Way of Will

The first item I looked at was totally new to me. I have tried various types of deodorant (gel, paste, classic bar) and switched to more healthy brands many years ago. However, I had never seen a spray version and it looks like such a brilliant idea. It is free of harsh chemicals like aluminum, propylene glycol, or phthalates, but filled with natural ingredients, safe for your body, like sodium bicarbonate, rose geranium oil, elemi oil, bergamot oil and Aloe Vera leaf juice to name a few. The two main essential oils have different properties:

Bergamot Essential Oil – Relieves body aches caused by overexertion and fights off germs, viruses, and fungi.

Elemi Essential Oil – A natural antiseptic that helps to prevent infections and promotes new skin cell growth.

This spray was especially created as an active oil training system. Spray once or twice on your armpit and start your training session, odor free. It is not an anti persistent, but it will keep bad smells at bay and the oils will be beneficial for your skin. I do workout sessions almost everyday, so I will have plenty of occasions to try this product.

Cypress Hills Soap

This soap from ANTO YUKON smells so good. The cypress, grapefruit and lime essential oils give it a fresh scent you definitely want in your bath or shower. It is handmade and cured in a northern Canadian studio located in Yukon Territory and made from few natural ingredients. The packaging also caught my attention. It is an art print made by the artist Meghan Hildebrand. That makes this soap an Art piece!

Sisal Soap Sack from Soaptopia

With this beautiful soap came a very practical object you might not find in a drugstore near you. It is the Sisal Soap Sack from Soaptopia, an online store specialised in bath soaps and accessories. It is perfect to put your soap bar in and wash and exfoliate at the same time. It also helps preserve your soap and makes it easiest to keep the little last pieces from your soap. Also, the string makes it easy to hang in your shower.

No-Tie Lacing System from XPAND

Here is an item to make your life easier. It is a special system that takes away the task of tying your shoes. In the package you find 52 inches long stretchy laces, lace anchors and end clips. Once everything is tied and adjusted to your shoes, you just slip your shoes on to be ready to go. Since you cut the lace to adjust to your shoe size, you can use it even on kids’ shoes. It can also be used on sport shoes and tighten to your needs. I find the concept very intelligent and I love that it comes from a Canadian company. I might buy more for my kids.

Jumbo Lip Balm, Lemon+Jojoba from Way of Will

“Apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter join forces to target dry, chapped lips and sensitive skin. Our melt-on-contact lip balms make maximum use of the powerful moisturizing and conditioning properties of the natural oils to keep lips healthy-looking and luscious.”

I just love good lipstick! I never had one this big and find it very useful. One, it is going to last way longer than a normal one would and second, it is so big you can swipe it on both of your lips all at once. It melts smoothly on my lips and leaves them hydrated thanks to the shea butter and jojoba oil. It is also infused with vitamin E, antioxidants, and lemon essential oil, perfect for a long-lasting effect. Another great discovery from Way of Will and that makes me want to try more from this brand.

Water Bottle Ice Tray from PEAK

“This tray makes five individual ice spears that fit perfectly in most water bottles. The provided lid blocks out pesky flavors from your freezer, while an internal steel frame makes filling and transporting the tray a breeze.”

The steel frame makes it easy to manipulate and will lessen the chance of spilling water while carrying it. The part that forms the ice sticks is made of flexible silicone so popping the ice will be done in a pinch. I use a water bottle everyday, as well as my kids, so this will be very useful to us to keep our drinks cold. Exactly what we needed this Summer.

Self-Care Recharge Workbook

Half of the year has already passed, and it is now time for a check-up. With this month’s workbook, Loti Wellness Box makes us reflect on our self-care goals. Are they achieved? A work in progress? Or maybe you might have lost yourself a bit? Now is a good time to pause and recharge. The workbook makes us go through the different types of self-care (physical, psychological, emotional, social, spiritual and professional) and gives activity ideas for each of them. You are also invited to create (or re-create) your self-care plan. At the end, there is a self-care recharge checklist for the next month. I will try to check every box.

Loti Wellness Box Review July 2020 – Final Thoughts

The July Loti Wellness Box is worth every dollar, especially with a value close to a hundred dollars! I was happily surprised by the products received this month. I was happy to discover two of the products from Way of Will, a company based in Toronto, Ontario and loved them so much I now want to try more. The soap bar and the sisal soap sack were such a good idea and l am happy to have this new item that will help me use my soap bars to the last bit. Also, the water bottle ice tray and the XPAND laces will be put to good use in my home.

Finally, Loti Wellness Box had such a great idea to make us do a reboot of our self-care plan in this month’s workbook. Loved all the ideas and the help to recreate my self-care plan. I started my journey with Loti in January 2020 and I am happy to follow their good advice. Loti Wellness Box truly makes a difference in all the facets of my self-care journey and every box brought new knowledge and goodness in my life.
