Lovevery Review The Inspector: 7 to 8 Months

Lovevery is a subscription box designed by experts for your child’s developing brain. Their goal is to help every parent feel confident. Their play products are designed by child development experts and distilled to their simplest, purest purpose: to be exactly what children need at each stage. They kindly sent us this box for review.

This will officially be our 4th Lovevery review, and while we are a little behind in terms of Steven’s age, I’m still very excited to have received it because we have been loving our Lovevery boxes!

Our Lovevery toys are often the most used, and the ones Steven goes back to time and time again.

Subscription Details

Each Lovevery subscription box includes perfect play essentials designed by experts, for babies and toddlers. The Lovevery Play Kits subscription offers 8-14 products per each kit. The amount of playthings included vary per stage.

  • Wonder-inducing playthings, delivered by stage.
  • Receive a box every 2-3 months depending on stage.

Here’s a closer look at our fourth Lovevery Box – The Inspector. This box is for 7 to 8 months. Our next box will ship in 2 months and it will be for months 9-10. Steven is 11 months (almost 12) but he will still enjoy all of the toys.

BALL DROP BOX

Build gross motor skills while learning that something can be there even when you can’t see it.

I’ve seen this Ball Drop Box on the Lovevery website and was really looking forward to receiving it because I just know baby Steven is going to love it. This is going to teach Steven “object permanence”. He will learn that when objects can’t be seen it doesn’t mean they are gone forever.

WOOD BALL SET

Balls made from sustainably harvested wood.

The ball set goes with the drop box but I know that Steven will love playing with these on their own as well. He loves anything that moves and will enjoy crawling around after these.

‘MY FIRST SIGNS’ BOARD BOOK

A helpful introduction to basic sign language for you and your baby.

Sign language is something I’ve been meaning to work on with Steven so this arrived at the perfect time. It’s also been proven that babies who learn basic sign language develop pathways for communication sooner than they would otherwise.

‘THINGS I SEE’ TEXTURE CARDS

Everyday objects that your baby is getting to know—including some that might become first words!

These texture cards are absolutely perfect. They will be fun for Steven to play with and they will help with memory development.

NESTING STACKING DRIPDROP CUPS

Essential to several key concepts: tower-building, nesting, pouring, and containment.

These nesting cups are not only fun but they will help Baby Steven with learning parts of a whole. They will also be a great toy for bath time, something which Steven is absolutely loving right now.

We can build a tower, he can bang them together, learn how they fit together, practice counting, and he will love playing with them on the coffee table now that he is pulling himself up.

FIRST PUZZLE

Start developing fine motor and problem solving skills.

I am very excited for Steven to have his first puzzle. He won’t be able to put it together for a little while still, but he will love taking it apart.

FELT BALL SET

Babies love balls! Learn about how round things move.

I mentioned earlier that Steven loves things that move, and he loves chasing things around, so these felt balls are perfect. And mama will love them because they are quiet…..he can roll, throw and bang them as much as he wants:)

TREASURE BASKET

Fill with items to practice sensing and exploration.

Steven already has a few baskets but he has a lot of fun playing with them so I’m happy to have another one. They are a great way to keep small toys organized and he loves pulling things out of them.

DRINKING CUP

Drinking from a cup builds mouth muscles that will be used later for forming sounds.

I was so happy to see this in the box because we are starting to wean Steven off his bottle. We’ve mastered the sappy cup and the straw so now we need to work on open cup drinking. And how adorable is this tiny little cup! Perfect for tiny hands.

PLAY GUIDE MONTHS 7‑8

Ideas for how to play during months 7‑8, backed by all the research you don’t have time to read.

Lovevery Review The Inspector: 7 to 8 Months

Lovevery is one of my favorite boxes to receive because we get so much use out of it. This is our fourth box and I can confidently say that we have loved every single one thus far. Steven still plays with toys from his first box and probably will for quite some time. The Inspector box brought with it some amazing toys perfect for 7-8 month olds. I specifically love the nesting cups and the drinking cup, but with that being said I just know that Steven will love all the others as well.

Lovevery is a box I will continue to recommend, as I know first-hand just how wonderful it is for babes. The research that goes in to each and every box is amazing and very much appreciated.
