Mapleblume Review April 2017

Mapleblume is a premium subscription box of luxury cosmetic and skincare products containing only the highest quality ingredients that are beautifying and nourishing. The Mapleblume subscription box contains 5 full size or deluxe sample size skincare and cosmetic products. A new box is delivered to your door every 2 months filled with different products every time. They kindly sent us this box to review.

This will be my third review for Mapleblume. It is a new Canadian subscription box that won me over from the get-go. It’s on the higher end of the price scale, but it is totally worth it. It comes packed full of luxury skincare products, and that is one area where I am willing to spend more money if it means I am able to use quality ingredients on my face and skin.

April Details

The name of the April box is “Spring Forward”. They don’t really give any details in regards to the theme, but they do tell us about the Feature Product of the month with is the Vita Rich Creme from Fitglow Beauty. It has a retail value of $119 and we will get into more details below……I’m already excited.

Fitglow Beauty Vita Rich Cremé – $119.00

Vita Rich Crème naturally awakens skin youth functions while nourishing skin health, brightening and smoothing lines. Rare Grass Extracts increase intercellular osmosis retaining water long term deeply in the skin and plumping cells. Rich in over 150 phyto nutrients, vitamins and cherry brightening complex the luxurious crème transform the look and feel of skin.

These are the kind of items I love to see in my Luxury Subscription Boxes. This is the kind of skincare product I prefer to use on my face, but the price point can be a little intimidating. I find it much more reasonable when it comes in a subscription box along with other products to help balance out the cost. This item alone covers the cost of the box, so basically we can look at the rest of the products as freebies.

Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick in the shade Au Pair – $33.50

Treat lips to an infusion of beautifying organic botanicals—including Pomegranate and Rose—with show-stopping color. Silky and moisture-rich, Siren is the industry’s healthiest lipstick, and the full-coverage shades are beloved by beauty enthusiasts across the globe. Achieve rich, classic, luscious color that lasts and lasts.

First of all, I absolutely love this shade! Second, I absolutely love the ingredient list!! This lipstick includes ingredients such as castor seed oil, beeswax, jojoba, apricot, pomegranate, lemon balm and a few others. I feel more than comfortable using this on my lips.

Lavido Pomegranate Peel, Orange Blossom, and Carrot Purifying Facial Cleanser – $38.80

Cleanse…Refresh…Restore your skin. Opens and thoroughly cleanses the pores, while antioxidant-rich Vitamin A, derived from organic Carrot Oil, protects and nourishes the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Recommended use: Apply this daily facial cleanser to a damp face in the morning and evening, and rinse well. Removes facial makeup and leaves the skin purified and refreshed.

I’m intrigued by this cleanser. The feature ingredient is a root vegetable with ample benefits for the skin and hair, Carrot is rich in beta carotene, vitamins A and C, minerals and antioxidants that combine to cleanse, brighten, and tone the skin, while helping to defy the aging process. I had a look at the reviews on their website and customers seem to love the scent and claim that it leaves their skin very soft.

Root + Willow Fig & Plum Body Butter – $27.00

A highly concentrated combination of skin-softening butters and oils melt on contact with warm skin, creating a soft body serum for intensive nourishment and repair. Raw Shea and Mango Butters are paired with natural plant oils to soften, smooth and hydrate even the most stubbornly dry skin. This decadent treatment is well suited for the entire body, particularly rough and bumpy areas, and may be used during massage.

This is exactly what I need right now. My skin has been extremely dry as of late and my regular moisturizer just isn’t cutting it. This one has a nice fresh scent with a hint of fruitiness.

Root + Willow Matcha & Mint Organic Lip Balm – $8.00

Root and Willow lip balms are formulated with luxurious, premium organic ingredients for an elegant, buttery smooth texture and whisps of divine, mouthwatering scents. Organic oils, rich butters and protective beeswax sink into skin to moisturize and continue to protect hours after application. Silky soft with just enough slip to glide on easily and provide a hint of shine.

Lip balm is always appreciated, especially when it is such a unique combination of scents – Matcha & Mint.

Sundays Nail Polish – $24.00

Sundays nail polish collection is 10-free, nontoxic, cruelty-free, and vegan. They spent a whole year perfecting their formula to create one of the simplest and purest on the market that still delivers long-lasting strength and shine.

I am obsessing over this polish color. If you read my blog on a regular basis you will know that I am over my bright polish phase and all I want to wear is pale shades of pink, grey, brown and purple.

Mapleblume Review April 2017 – Final Thoughts

I just can’t get over how lovely this box is. It’s so much fun to unbox thanks to the gorgeous packaging and the quality products. It definitely feels like a little piece of luxury sitting on my desk. Mapleblume continues to put together a high-end beauty box full of wonderful products. I have loved everything we have received thus far. I love that they include some familiar brands and some new brands. I also love the mixture of products we received every month, they seem to have their curation down. Each box provides me with gorgeous new items for my beauty routine and that makes me truly happy. This is definitely a box to add to your “must-have” list.

XOXO
