Mapleblume Review February 2017

Mapleblume is a premium subscription box of luxury cosmetic and skincare products containing only the highest quality ingredients that are beautifying and nourishing. The Mapleblume subscription box contains 5 full size or deluxe sample size skincare and cosmetic products. A new box is delivered to your door every 2 months filled with different products every time. They kindly send us this box to review.

Mapleblume is a new Canadian Subscription Box and I got to review it for the first time in December. I absolutely loved my first box and use a few of the items we received on a regular basis. The LINNE Repair Face Oil in particular. It’s definitely a new favourite.

Mapleblume is a little more expensive than most subscription boxes, but in this case, you get what you pay for. They guarantee that the value of every box will be significantly more than the retail cost of the products. So if you like luxury products, and don’t mind spending a little more, then I highly recommend checking them out. Just to give you an example, the face oil from the December box (that I love so much) retails for $72. That’s more than half the cost of the box right there.

February Details

The name of the February box is “Love Yourself”. They don’t really give any details in regards to the theme, they talk more about the feature brand of the month. This month they are featuring a brand by the name of Odacite.

Odacite Ba+S Eye Serum Concentrate ($54.75)

This highly nutritive serum is specially formulated for the delicate, thin skin of the eye contour. The carefully selected ingredients work to help reduce wrinkles, increase elasticity, and relive puffiness and dark circles.

This first item speaks to my heart. The area around my eyes is definitely my problem area. I’ve had crows feet since I was 20. I blame it on the fact that I laugh a lot. Any who, I love that they included this serum, and I love that it is a multi-tasker. It sounds like it will be a good little helper for tired eyes.

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer ($49.50)

This luminizer is a clean beauty treasure. Apply with your fingertips to the highpoint of your cheekbones, along the inner corners of the eyes, and on the cupid’s bow above lips for a soft reflective glow.

Once I figured out how to use highlighter properly, I actually started to enjoy wearing it. It adds a little glow to your face and gives you a bit of a dewy look, which I happen to love. RMS is a really great brand, it speaks to the fact that Mapleblume focuses on quality.

Biodara Luminous Cleansing Oil ($54.75)

This oil is rich in organic botanicals that gently cleanse and renew the skin while maintaining the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It’s like getting a mini facial with aromatherapy.

This little treasure sounds amazing. It comes with a little wash cloth. You are supposed to apply the cleanser and then lay the cloth over your face to allow the cleanser to soak in and do its job.

Fig + Yarrow Complexion Water ($18.25)

Mist your cleansed face with this uber reparative, balancing, toning and aromatherapeutic skin Complexion Water, made with certified organic floral distillates and pure essential oils for a refreshing treat.

This is a skincare item I still haven’t been able to justify using. I think it’s only because I’m not educated enough on the benefits of balancing and toning. The fact that they included it in this month’s box is reason enough for me to get off my butt and do my research. Plus, I really like the Fig + Yarrow brand.

Update – I saw this on their Facebook page – “These Complexion Waters from @figandyarrow are great to keep in your purse or at your desk for when you need a little afternoon hydration” – I like the idea of spritzing throughout the day!

Hylamide Low-Molecular HA Rehydration Booster ($20)

For an even and smooth complexion, apply once or twice daily. this hyper-strength rehydration serum with 5 forms of hyaluronic compounds, offers short and long-term surface and below-surface hydration.

I recently added serum to my daily skincare routine, and let me tell you, it is amazing. I use to be afraid of serum, but not anymore. My skin responds very well to it. Therefore, I’m very excited to try this item.

Hynt Beauty Lip Gloss ($23.50)

Formulated with natural oils to help treat the lips. While it is luxuriously creamy, this lightweight vegan lip gloss is free of all things undesired, making it the perfect everyday wearable color, essential to keeping lips kissably soft.

I LOVE Hynt Beauty! I have received a couple of their products in the past few months and have fallen in love with this brand. I currently use their blush on daily basis, the formula is wonderful and adds the right amount of color. In regards to this lip gloss specifically, it looks a tad bit dark at first, but if you apply a small amount it’s not overpowering.

Mapleblume Review February 2017

Well, I think I have a new favourite Canadian Subscription Box. Mapleblume has impressed me yet again this month. I was super happy with my December box, and am equally happy with my February box. They include quality items from really great brands, and deliver the value that they promise. The February box has a value of $220.75 which is pretty darn awesome. Taking that into consideration, there’s absolutely nothing bad I can say about this box. They have done an amazing job so far, and this is only their second box. They have gorgeous packaging, an informative product card, amazing value, and they are very pleasant to deal with. I’m predicting that this is going to be one of the more popular Canadian Subscription boxes for 2017.

XOXO
