Mapleblume Review May 2019

If you haven’t heard of Mapleblume, it’s a quarterly subscription box of luxury cosmetics and skincare with at least five full-size or deluxe sample-size products in every shipment. May’s box is my third and I’ve been so looking forward to it!

*They kindly sent us this box for review.

You can subscribe for a new box every quarter (the box ships in February, May, August and November) for $120 CAD per box or buy a single box to try for $130 per box. Shipping within Canada is free. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time, you just need to let Mapleblume know by the 15th of the month before the next shipment.

Here’s what’s in May’s Mapleblume box. (All prices in Canadian dollars.)

Each box comes with a guide to the contents. (I’ve reproduced most of it here so you don’t have to squint to read it.)

Nuori Supreme Moisture Mask ($105)

Our feature product provides a lightweight yet luminous blanket of moisture. It contains natural hyaluronic acid to restore moisture levels while squalene and betaine strengthen the skin’s natural barrier. For an instant hydration boost, leave on for 15 minutes, or leave it on overnight for a more intensive treatment.

I’ve been using the mask on my neck and it feels wonderful. It’s a light cream that absorbs quickly, so I haven’t felt the need to wash it off. Soon my neck will be so hydrated it’ll be wet to the touch! 😂😂

Pai Skincare Echium and Argan Gentle Eye Cream ($60)

The intensively hydrating formula improves the appearance of fine lines and unique concentrations of Omegas 3 & 6 regenerate the delicate eye area. This product is a beauty and non-irritating to even the most sensitive of skin types.

I was so happy to see this product in the box! And great timing too, since I’ve been thinking of buying something similar from another cosmetic and skincare brand I really like. I’ve never used any eye cream (je regrette! je regrette!) and this is light and cooling.

Vapour Organic Beauty Elixir Lip Gloss in Trust ($33.40)

Coral is in! It’s the Pantone colour of the year and we’re running with it! A pure and healthy formula that gives lips a boost of moisture to create a plumper pout. Never sticky or tacky, this exotic liquid gloss is bursting with antioxidants like goji berry, green tea and açaí berry!

This colour is perfection and the gloss not far from it. I’m going to be wearing it all summer long!

Vapour Organic Beauty Mini Aura Multi Use Stick in Spark ($29.40)

This is a sheer peachy pink essential tool in creating your naturally radiant look, from monochromatic elegance to a fresh pop of colour. Aura in Spark is a beautiful, blendable colour for lips, cheeks and lids.

This is so pretty too, and it’s almost exactly the same shade I use on my cheeks. I love it as a blush but not so much on the lips — I’m picking up a slight fennel or licorice scent that I only notice when I use it like a lipstick. #notafennelfan

Modicum Skincare Essential Cleanser ($37.40)

To help with the absorption of skincare products and to keep your skin looking its best, it’s important to cleanse. The foaming [in this cleanser] is created with sea kelp as a natural surfactant. The cleanser is calming and refreshing with anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties. This gentle, light-foaming cleanser leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth and pampered, not stripped.

And this cleanser is SO GOOD! My skin is so soft right now, and I’m sure it’s because I’ve been using it for a few days. I haven’t wanted to put makeup on because I love how clean my skin feels without it.

May’s Mapleblume box is lovely right across the board. I’m happy with every one of the products — they’re all light and luxurious and make me feel sooooo pampered. A subscription would make such a lovely gift!

What do you think of the Mapleblume box? Would you try it?
