I am a huge jewelry fan and always sport necklaces and earrings.
This mintMONGOOSE package was delivered in a beautiful teal bubble mailer with a sticker that read: “Thank you for supporting a woman & mom-owned small business <3 Helena” and inside there was a product card, a Werther’s Original candy and a white cardstock envelope wrapped with a ribbon and stamped with a wax seal with their mintMONGOOSE logo.
The product card reads:
“Our inspiration: This month’s set is a tribute to the many women I have been blessed enough to serve over the last four years. I am so grateful to be able to watch this mama-ran business bring people together, make people feel important, and brighten days.”
The product card then goes on to describe this month’s jewelry set being inspired by stories of women.
“I wanted the necklace in this set to be bold, but tell a story. I have received countless emails from countless women across all walks and chapters of life. I have heard heartbreaking stories, thrilling stories, stories that gave me warm and fuzzies, and stories that have made me downright belly-laugh! The flakes within the main pendant are meant to resemble each and every woman we have been lucky enough to send a wax-sealed bundle of joy to over the last 4 years. The sharp angles of the top layer of the multi-layer necklace are meant to resemble the obstacles faced by all of those amazing women. The arrow inspired pendant on the main necklace is meant to resemble the fortitude I have seen in these women. Inside the envelope, the jewelry was packaged in teal tissue paper and there was a “thank you” business card with their social media channels listed on the other side.
Each jewelry piece was individually bubble-wrapped, in a small plastic bag and had a mintMONGOOSE tag attached. This is a nice touch if you wanted to gift a piece to someone else.
This month I received a set of two necklaces and matching earrings in silver. Let’s take a look at the pieces:
This necklace was the spoiler piece released by mintMONGOOSE earlier in July. The light teal-ish-blue of the pendant is a gorgeous summer color and I love its contrast against the silver metal. The flakes within the pendant are meant to resemble each and every woman/subscriber/customer mintMONGOOSE has been lucky enough to work with over the last 4 years. The arrow-shaped pendant is also meant to resemble the fortitude of those women…courage in pain or adversity. I am positive every one of us can relate as if we are standing here today, we have had fortitude at some point. This necklace reminds me of summer at the lake with the sun reflecting off the blue water. It also is a nice tie-in to the other two pieces as it is similar to the arrow-shape of the earrings. It also has three adjustable lengths but is quite longer than the other necklace.
This necklace is the dainty top layer of the multi-layer necklace. The jagged angles are meant to resemble the obstacles faced by us women.. it is gorgeous! It actually reminds me of a necklace my grandmother wore… love! It has three adjustable lengths and could be worn on its own or with the necklace below.
I am in love with these earrings! They have a nice arrow shape that dangles and what reminds me of a sunset for the actual earring part. These earrings are another great addition to my wardrobe. I like that they are slightly dangly, but not too long, and they would be perfect to wear for a night out, to a business function or to work. They are quite versatile which I love and will go with many outfits.
The July 2020 mintMONGOOSE package had three beautiful silver jewelry pieces that fit the “strong women” theme well. All three pieces could be worn together or separately and would go great with many outfits. My favourite piece is the longer pendant necklace and I will wear all three pieces often. The value was not provided for each piece, but I would happily pay $15.99 for this set. The mintMONGOOSE subscription would be great for anyone who already loves jewelry or is looking to add to their collection without breaking the bank!
