Just when I think there’s a subscription box for everything, I discover a new one that caters to en entirely new market altogether. Mostess is a brand new subscription box for those of us who like to entertain. I can’t even describe how excited I was when I first heard about this box. Now that I work from home and actually have time to be “domestic” I have a new-found love for cooking and entertaining…..it takes me to my happy place.
If you aren’t familiar with Mostess it is a membership service that helps you host beautiful gatherings in your home by sending curated party items and ideas straight to your door. This box was provided complimentary for review.

My very first Mostess Box arrived in a huge brown shipping box…..I was actually kind of shocked as I wasn’t expecting such big package. I opened the shipping box to find a beautiful black box inside. I love it when subscriptions boxes do this, it prevents the pretty box from getting damaged in the shipping process. Right off the bat Mostess gets an A+ for first impressions.
Thank You Cards by Sugar Paper ($28) – Every hostess needs to have Thank You cards on hand…..on second thought, everyone needs to have Thank You cards on hand. The product description says to display these beauties on your desk as a reminder to send gratitude and love to others.
Cocktail Napkins by K Style Design ($32) – These are absolutely gorgeous. I love the fabric and the black trim. The only problem is, they are so pretty I almost don’t want to use them.
Bourbon Cocktail Cherries by Jack Rudy ($16) – I have some serious “bar cart goals”….which means I NEED to get my butt in gear and set up a pretty little bar cart. When I finally get around to doing that, these are the kind of items I want to have on hand at all times.
Aromatic Bitters by Jack Rudy ($12) – I’m still a “newbie” when it comes to the world of bitters, but they are another item I will want to have on hand for my pretty little bar cart. Luckily Mostess included some drink recipes for us.
Dore’ Nesting Hexagon Bowls by Rosanna ($36) – Wow! These are absolutely gorgeous, and unlike anything I have in my cupboard. The product card says to use these for pre-dinner bites or beverage garnishes.
Dore’ Hexagon Platter ($30) – Another GORGEOUS item, and it goes perfectly with the bowls. These are the kind of items I LOVE to see in my subscription boxes…….they nailed it with this one.
Thoughts: This is an absolutely gorgeous box, from beginning to end! You can tell that they put a lot of time and energy into every little detail…..from the packaging, to the product card, to the recipe card, to the items, the visual impression, and everything in between. I absolutely adore this box, it is right up my alley. It is a little more expensive than most subscription boxes, but you definitely get what you pay for. I always complain that we don’t receive kitchenware/entertaining items often enough in subscription boxes, and now there’s one that focuses specifically on those hard to come by items…..I am in love……..Mostess takes me to my happy place!
XOXO
