I was so excited to review August’s The Naked Beauty Box as I really enjoyed their July box. Skincare has been so important to me in recent years, and I am picky about what I will use on my face.

The Naked Beauty Box arrives in beautiful floral packaging with leaves, lovely colors, and the phrases, “Love the skin you’re in” and “Beauty begins with you” written on the sides.

There was also a card with an empowering quote: “Don’t compromise yourself. You are all you’ve got. There is no yesterday, no tomorrow, it’s all the same day.”

Let’s take a look inside:

The product card was a paper pamphlet with product photos, names, descriptions, and MRSP prices.

BioMilk Instant Youth Glow Mask ($5)

“Instant Youth Glow is the first sheet mask to support true skin health and balance through healthy prebiotic and superfoods nutrition. Our active prebiotic, coupled with potent superfoods (such as coconut and almond oil) offers a complete face treatment at home. Reveal younger, healthier-looking skin with our mask! 100% Natural – 100% Clean – 100% Vegan”

This mask contains camelina and deeply nourishing sodium hyaluronate which help to plump and smooth your skin. After use, I found my face was smooth with a more even tone and texture.

Orglamix Aloe Elixir Serum ($32)

“A lightweight, hydrating serum that keeps oil in check for visibly smoother skin and longer-lasting makeup wear. A little goes a long way with this lightweight serum and primer combo. All natural and silicone-free formula.”

You can use this serum face primer with or without makeup for a visibly hydrated glow. It contains hyaluronic acid for intense hydration. I really enjoy this product as it leaves your skin moisturized and doubles as a primer leaving your face with a natural glow.

Elevé Deux Luxe Eye Makeup Remover + Skin Refresher ($30)

“Our light-as-water eye makeup remover effortlessly whisks away makeup and impurities while it conditions and refreshes your skin, leaving it feeling soft and hydrated. Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.”

I have tried quite a few eye makeup removers but this one really stands out. It removed all traces of eye makeup with ease including my waterproof mascara that I sport on hot summer days. It easily removes everything, and leaves your face feeling clean and refreshed.

Aloe Vera Essence Gel ($20)

“Aloe vera can promote healthier skin, and provide hydration to the skin. The aloe essence can promote an attractive, refreshed and healthy appearance. Reduce the appearance of damaged skin. Cool and soothe the skin after prolonged sun exposure.”

I really love aloe vera as it is typically gentle and effective for my sensitive skin. This product is quite thick and took a long time to absorb. However, if I were to be sunburnt, this would be an amazing product to use.

AEnon’s Charcoal Clay Mask ($4)

“A concentrated face treatment with activated charcoal and sea clay to draw out impurities and minimize the appearance of pores. Rice bran powder provides a gentle exfoliating experience, revealing a brighter and clearer complexion.”

The sea clay contains a unique concentration of minerals to nourish skin and the activated charcoal helps to remove impurities. This mask contains 0% parabens, synthetic fragrances or artificial colors. I gave it to my sister who has had horrible breakouts this summer and it seemed to clear up some blemishes and left her skin softer and clearer.

The August 2020 Naked Beauty Box contained five full-size products and the estimated retail value of this box is $91! I was not familiar with any of the brands included in the box this month, so it was fun to discover new ones. I also like that all of the products included are clean which is so important to me. My favourite item is the Orglamix Aloe Elixir Serum as it is effective as both a serum and primer. The Naked Beauty Box is the perfect subscription for someone who appreciates trying clean, cruelty-free, and vegan skincare products!
