NoMakeNoLife Review September 2019

NoMakeNoLife, or ‘nmnl’ for short, is a monthly subscription box filled with Japanese and Korean beauty products! If you’re not familiar with the popular Japanese phrase “nomakenolife,” it translates into ‘makeup is life’. Each month you’ll receive 8-9 trendy items including makeup, skincare, beauty tools, nails, body care and much more! They kindly sent me the September box to review.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received this month….

September Theme – Blossoming Beauty

Included in every NoMakeNoLife box is a mini pink booklet detailing all of the hand-picked products each month. You’ll get in-depth descriptions, instructions (in English, of course) and upcoming news!

Etude House Therapy Air Mask (Korea)

The Etude House Therapy Air Mask is an ultra-thin sheet mask that feels light as air on the skin! Subscribers will receive the Cherry Blossom, Damask Rose, White Flowers, or Camellia variety. I’m a fan of these masks since they adhere closely to the face for a comfortable fit.

Etude House Nose Pack (Korea)

Do you guys remember when peel-off nose strips were all the rage back in the day? This one from Etude House contains green tea extracts to help tighten and purify the pores. I’m personally not a fan of peel-off strips since they can be damaging to the skin, so it’s a pass from me.

Spring Eyelash Curler (Japan)

The Spring Eyelash Curler is an adorable metal eyelash curler with pink handles. I usually have trouble finding eyelash curlers to fit my almond shaped eyes without pinching, but this one is easy to use and cute to boot!

Glamfox Fleurissant Lip Glow (Korea)

The Fleurissant Lip Glow by Glamfox is a clear jelly-like lipstick that changes color based on your body temperature. Plus, there’s a pretty little dried flower inside the lipstick bullet! I’m pretty sure all of these temperature based lipsticks just turn a bright pink, but despite the gimmick, the color is flattering for most skin tones!

The Yeon Rosy Lips (Korea)

Subscribers will receive the rose-shaped lip balm in one of three possible shades: S101 Orange Honey, S102 Lady Rose, or S501 Terracotta. The lip balm has a creamy and buildable formula that’s perfect for the lips or the cheeks. There’s also a miniature mirror inside the compact for on-the-go application.

Joteki 10 Second Morning Sheets – 32 Sheets (Japan)

If you’re like me and like to hit the ‘snooze’ button in the morning a few too many times, then these Joteki 10 Second Morning Sheet masks are a godsend! These sheets combine multiple skincare steps all into one convenient wipe. Gently cleanse and moisturize your face in just 10 seconds!

Crayon Touch Me Mascara (Japan)

Subscribers will receive the Crayon Touch Me Mascara in one of three varieties: Volume, Length, or Point (for outer lashes). I have way too many mascaras open at the moment, so I haven’t tried this yet, but I do like the small portable size.

Crayon Touch Me Mascara Top Coat (Japan)

Also included this month is the Crayon Touch Me Mascara Top Coat. This can be applied on top of your mascara to help keep your lashes stay curled all day.

NoMakeNoLife Review September 2019 – Final Thoughts

The September NoMakeNoLife box was slightly makeup heavy this time around, which I loved! Usually NoMakeNoLife leans more towards skincare, so this was a nice little change for this month. Also, the curation this month was on point since most items can all be used together to create a whole look! My favorite items this month was the Joteki 10 Second Morning Sheets, Crayon Touch Me Mascara Top Coat, and the Glamfox Fleurissant Lip Glow!
