“BEHIND THE BRAND: Jeannine Sanchez is the brains, soul and founder behind Tamanu Oil Lab, a tamanu focused brand of pared down yet efficacious products that we have grown to simply love! Not only that, she’s also the influencer behind Organic Oracle, an account with nearly 40k followers focusing on living a clean lifestyle. We had the pleasure of interviewing her on the Why’s and How’s of her amazing brand: READ IT AT : NOURISHBEAUTYBOX.COM/BLOGS/ARTICLE”
So excited to find this brand in this month’s box! I’ve tried their Pure oil before and it’s wonderful so I’m glad to learn more about the brand and have another one of their products to try out.
Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box ($154 Total Value):
Nourish Naturals Lucid Glow In “Ripe Cherry” ($16)
“A luminizing lip treatment made with pearlescent micro shimmers in a nourishing vegan base of sunflower, apricot, avocado and skin-loving jojoba oils to impart a healthy, gently tinted gleam to lips.”
This lip gloss is a really pretty shade of a bright warm pink with iridescent glitter in it. To be honest with a name like “Ripe Cherry” I would have expected it to be a bright red color, but it’s pretty none the less. It’s a really nice summer color and perfect for a fancier look. I don’t actually wear a lot of lip gloss these days, but it’s still fun to add to the collection since a new one has been coming each month.
Seraphine Botanicals Goji + Galaxy Palette ($55)
“A prismatic palette formulated in a blendable, vegan cream base that gives you the ultimate customizable radiance.”
This is a fun highlighter palette. I like that it has a few warm options and a few cool options so you can customize based on the look you’re going for. This is another product I don’t wear a ton of currently, but I do really appreciate a good highlighter when I’m actually putting on some make up.
Tamanu Oil Lab Tamanu Radiant Or Tamanu Pure ($38)
“Tamanu Radiant is a fast-absorbing oil blend made with tamanu, rosehip & ylang-ylang oils for a soft, glowing complexion, while Tamanu Pure contains a high-quality, cold-pressed, certified organic tamanu oil that is known for its extremely healing, rejuvenating, and moisturizing properties.”
Love this item! Out of the two options to receive I got the Tamanu Radiant. I’ve actually ordered and used the Tamanu Pure before and am out, so only slightly would have preferred that one, but I’m glad to try out the Radiant now too. Tamanu is so beneficial for skin healing and with the added benefits of rosehip and ylang ylang, Radiant is extra good for aging skin specifically as the ingredients work together to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and ages spots. All their products are made with high-quality, cold-pressed, certified organic Tamanu oil for maximum skin health. I’m sure I’ll be using this one a lot for face and body oil, maybe even more so for a body oil since it smells so nice!
Malaya Organics Hair Oil ($48)
“A unique hair treatment that brings luster back to dry or damaged hair, restores moisture to a dry scalp, prevents flaking, and doubles as a styling product to reduce split ends and combat frizz.”
This hair oil smells SO good! It’s made with a nourishing oil blend including argan and avocado along with essential oils of clary sage, geranium, sandalwood and bulgarian rose for a moisturizing product that smells woodsy and herbal-ly. I’ve only been using easy to use and simple hair products lately so this is perfect for me. I like that it seems like it will be lightweight, yet still tame any unruly frizz.
Nourish Beauty Box Review August 2021 – Final Thoughts
Always love my Nourish Beauty Box deliveries and especially lately since they’ve been including more and more unique items and featured brands. The new brands they feature each month are one of my favorite things about this box. It’s fun to get something unexpected! I like that this month’s box included a familiar brand with a new-to-me product and a brand I’d heard of but never tried too (Malaya). The hair oil is a really fun product to try out and will be perfect for the summer humid hair frizzies I’m sure. I like the makeup products too of course, but haven’t been wearing too much makeup this season so while I may not get as much use out of them, they are still fun to have in my collection. Looking forward to wrapping up the summer season with trying out these products!
