“From thriving in a huge corporate environment to starting her brand from ground zero, join us in discovering Fork & Melon’s wonderful uphill journey with their amazing founder Cheryl Fork! Read it at nourishbeautybox.com/blogs/article”
Yet another company I’ve not heard of before that’s highlighted this month – so fun! I love learning about new companies and products and I loved reading the behind the scenes interview (link right above) that gives more background on the company. I especially connected to this months highlighted maker because I learned she started her journey to using (and then creating) clean skin products because of an infertility diagnosis just like me. That instantly makes me feel connected to the product and more excited to try it out. See my review on the Fork & Melon lotion below!
Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box ($104 Total Value):
Seraphine Botanicals Sugarcane Lip Drops In “Sugarcane” ($21)
“A water-based gel that gently helps to exfoliate and retexturize lips, all without the need to rinse. Formulated with panthenol (pro-vitamin b 5) and carob gum which help stimulate your skin’s natural healing process.”
This is an intriguing product! I’ve never received something like this before, I mean I’ve gotten lip masks but not a wearable exfoliating lip treatment. This seems like a good and light wearing option for an overnight treatment, but they also say it’s great to use to prep lips for smooth lipstick application. It’s got a gel consistency and has a light fragrance (that I don’t think is necessary at all, but it’s not offensive). I’m curious to try these out.
Fork & Melon Rich Hydrating Cream For Body & Hands ($15)
“A luxurious concoction made with watermelon seed oil that has moisturizing, detoxifying and clarifying benefits. This premium multitasking ingredient has been shown to help reduce puffiness caused by excess water retention.”
This is the highlighted product and company for this month. It’s a lovely hand and body lotion made with a special ingredient – watermelon seed oil which is light oil full of nutrients to help nourish and care for skin. This lotion lightweight, absorbs well into skin and smells so nice – maybe like sweet orange with a touch of floral? I can’t totally pinpoint it. Regardless, this is a really nice lotion that’s made with clean ingredients that of course also looks chic and perfect for display. I will be using this one a lot as temps drop and my skin starts to get parched!
Cleure Night Cream For Sensitive Skin ($38)
“Made with alpha-lipoic acid which is a naturally occurring fatty acid that helps combat free radicals as well as 100% pure shea butter, which is known to keep skin hydrated as well as protect it from environmental damage.”
This night cream is thick and rich and made with simple clean ingredients. It’s rich texture certainly seems like it would make for a nice and hydrating overnight treatment. It seems to be unscented which is nice and also good for sensitive skin types. I think this would be really helpful as the air gets dryer to help my skin maintain it’s hydration. I’m curious to try it out and see how it compares to my current night cream.
Wyld Flower Labs Radiancy Essence ($30)
“A glow-giving facial essence formulated with orange blossom, vitamin c and aha fruit acids that clears skin of leftover impurities, leaving it radiant and ready for your daily serums and moisturizers.”
Based on the description I think this product is essentially like a toner which is great as I always like to try new toners. I really like neroli so that’s exciting that it’s one of the star ingredients. It helps clear skin and enhances it’s glow. This smells nice and light, like sweet fruit I think? I like that this is packaged in a glass bottle and it’s size makes it perfect for travel.
Nourish Beauty Box Review October 2020 – Final Thoughts
I like this month’s kind of care and rejuvenation theme through the products. The skincare is aimed at cleansing, rejuvenating and providing skin with ultimate hydration and the body care has the same goals. All so nice for pampering skin as it copes with the changing seasons. I was happy to see familiar brands but extra happy to learn about Fork & Melon. I will have to check out more of their products since the lotion is so nice. Overall this was another great selection of goods from Nourish Beauty Box, all perfect for the fall season!
