Oceanista Review Spring 2020

Oceanista is a seasonal subscription box filled with a selection of beach-inspired apparel, jewelry, skincare products, flip flops, beach accessories & other handpicked beach boutique essentials. They kindly sent us this box for review.

My Oceanista box arrived the other day and it was like a breath of fresh air, and much needed during this time of uncertainty. There’s something about a special delivery that can brighten your day no matter what is going on. I’ve come to love this subscription and appreciate the time and effort that goes in to each and every box……that’s what makes it such a special treat. It’s a box that I would highly recommend.

Subscription Details

Oceanista subscribers can expect to receive 5-8 hand-picked beach & nautical inspired essentials such as beach apparel, jewelry, exclusively designed Featured Artisan pieces, beauty products, accessories, flip flops, mermaid must-have’s, and other surprise items.

Subscribers have 3 subscription options to choose from:

  • seasonal subscription
  • annual subscription
  • gift subscription

Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the Spring 2020 Oceanista Box….

Beach Resin Art Coasters/Trivets ($25)

These beautiful coasters are handmade in Southern California. They are a 4×4 ceramic tile and heat resistant up to 500 degrees. No two coasters are alike which gives them an exclusive vibe. They are finished with felt feet making the safe for any tabletop. The print/design is so pretty and calming to look at.

Jilzarah Premium Clay Jewelry ($24 – $34)

From vibrant golds and blues to pastel pinks and lavenders, JILZARAH is all about expressing yourself through color and looking amazing while you do it. Every single bead and pattern is the result of hundreds of hours of dedication and passion from our designers. We don’t stop until each one is just right and neither do our artisans.

Oceanista did something fun this season and offered a few variations of these gorgeous jewelry pieces to choose from. Members were able to choose their jewelry from 4 different options. VIP members received early access on selections in the Oceanista Treasure Trove.

I chose the teal bar necklace. I love the look of the bar pendant as it’s simple and perfect for everyday wear. The teal stone adds just a little bit of style and will be a pretty pop of color when I want to spruce up a neutral outfit. And did I mentioned it is reversible?!

The Arawak Kimono/Beach Coverup ($48 – $58)

The pure cotton Arawak Kimono is a wonderful alternative to your standard tunic top, throw this kimono style cover-up over your shoulders to get that boho chic look when you first get out of the water. If you don’t always feel confident in your swimsuit, this is an instant cover-up. It also provides sun protection while you are on the beach, and converts your jeans & white tee look back home to island chic. Lightweight and cool to wear, the pure cotton fabric dries quickly and doesn’t need ironing. FABRIC : Made from 100% breathable cotton knit fabric featuring our unique Arawak print. DETAILS : Easy to wear slip on kimono cardi style. FIT : Comfortable One-Size fits most up to XXL.

Just like to jewelry item above, Oceanista spoiled their customers this season and offered a few different variations of this beautiful piece. They were nice enough to send me the choice that regular subscribers received as well as a piece that was available as an option for their VIP members. Note: subscribers only received one clothing item, here we are just showing you two of the options.

I’m a lover of simple pieces and neutral colors so I chose the white tunic, but with that being said I also really love the navy kimono. You can’t go wrong with either piece (or any of the other options) as they are perfect for the beach, they are versatile, and they are oh so pretty.

The Maliblue Weekender Beach Bag ($39.95)

Escape to your dream destination in style with this fabulous Beach Bag. The easy-to-carry handles and the abundant space makes this bag a must-have! This floral pattern has a hand-painted feel and is the perfect tagalong to any summer adventure. This pattern is comprised of a variety of shades of blue.

I love a good tote bag and can never have too many. Is that wierd? I think I get it from my Dad because he is the same way. This gorgeous beach bag is perfect for a weekend getaway or a trip to the beach. I may pre-pack it with some of my weekend essentials so that it is ready to go for a last minute Spring/Summer road trip.

Lihau Face Mist – Honua Hawaiian Skincare ($18)

This exotic scent blend of Hawaiian sandalwood, vetiver, neroli and blue tansy work together to calm your mind and bring mental clarity and peace. You can incorporate it in to your evening ritual or keep it in your purse for a quick self love moment at any time of the day.

This lovely little face mist doesn’t only have aromatherapy benefits, but it is also skin tightening, toning and hydrating. It can also help fight off breakouts and irritations.  Dispense a pearl-sized amount onto clean skin and massage gently all over face and décolleté.

Lily Sunglasses – DIFF Eyewear ($95)

Chic, sleek and oversized – what’s not to love? The lily is the perfect elevated touch to add to any and every outfit.

I am 100% in LOVE with these sunglasses. In my personal opinion we don’t receive sunglasses often enough in subscription boxes. These ones have a designer stainless steel frame, 5 barrel hinges and adjustable nose pads. And if that’s not enough……for every pair of glasses sold, DIFF will help to provide the gift of sight to someone in need.

Oceanista Review Spring 2020 – Final Thoughts

Oceanista has done it again…..they put together another amazing box and have spoiled their subscribers. They changed things up this season and offered a few different variations for two of the products.

Overall we have a really lovely box full of beach essentials – a floral tote, sunglasses, and coverup. In addition to that we received something for the home and something for our skincare routine.

Looking for a little sunshine during uncertain times? Get yourself a subscription to Oceanista……you won’t regret it.
