Ogee Product Review August 2018: Sculpted Lip Oil Tinted

Ogee is a monthly subscription for organic skincare products. Find the good in effective, organic skin care. Ogee harnesses powerful natural science, Jojoba Oil and Edelweiss Flower Stem Cells to deliver anti aging results. They kindly sent us this box for review.

If you have been following my blog for a while, you will remember this brand. I got to review Ogee for the first time in January 2017. I got to test out some of their skincare products – facial wipes, face oil, serum and lip balm. I was a little hesitant at first because my skin is very sensitive and most products cause a rash or they make my eyes swell…..true story.

But……I tested my Ogee skincare products out for a full 30 days and oh my goodness…..the results were pretty darn amazing. I even did a YouTube review raving about the results because I felt comfortable filming my face due to the amazing effects Ogee had on my skin. I will get in to more details on that with my next skincare review because today is actually about one of their new products – Sculpted Lip Oil Tinted.

First off I should tell you that I am a HUGE fan of their regular lip oil. I have used quite often over the last year and a half. Out of all the lip balms I have tried over the years it would definitely be a favourite, and I’m not just saying that. I really, really love the formula. It hydrates, moisturizes, conditions and refreshes all at the same time. If I had to choose only one lip balm to use for the rest of my life it would probably be this one.

So…..imagine how excited I was to find out that they created tinted lip oils made with the same formula as their regular lip oil. I don’t usually wear color on my lips for the simple fact that I don’t like lipstick or lip gloss. I have tried tinted lip balms in the past but they never condition my lips the same way a regular lip balm does. I have high hopes for these new Ogee tinted lip oils because I LOVE the regular formula and would love to be able to wear a bit of color on my lips from time to time.

Here’s a closer look at the colors swatched on my arm, as you can see they only provide a bit of color, they aren’t overly pigmented, which is something I actually really like. The formulas are buildable, when I swatched each color I went back and forth a few times.

Out of the 8 colors my favourite shades would be Begonia and Camellia. But……as we head in to Fall I can certainly see myself wearing the darker shades – Zinnia & Dahlia.

Swatched In Alphabetical Order from Left to Right:

  1. Azalea – perfect for special occasions
  2. Begonia – a nice shade for Fall
  3. Camellia – this is just a tiny bit darker than my natural lip color, a great every day shade
  4. Dahlia – another nice shade for Fall, just a little bit darker than Begonia
  5. Gardenia – a nice nude shade with just the right amount of color
  6. Linnea – hard to see but it has a nice shimmer to it
  7. Magnolia – quite sheer with just a little bit of sparkle
  8. Zinnia – this one has very nice pigmentation
Ogee Product Review August 2018: Sculpted Lip Oil Tinted

When I first found out that Ogee added tinted lip oil to their product line I was pretty darn excited. I am already a HUGE fan of this company. As of right now it is the only thing I will use on my skin. I’ve tried a few other skincare lines over the last year and I keep coming back to this one. It’s for this reason that I already know I am going to love their tinted lip oils. I like the variety of shades, I love the formula and I love that they aren’t as pigmented as a regular lipstick. This is giving me hope that they will continue to add products to their skincare line in the future……..fingers crossed.

XOXO
