Once Upon a Book Club Review July 2020
Once Upon a Book Club is a unique, interactive online community that offers a monthly subscription service where readers will receive a monthly box in the mail containing a newly released book to read for the month, along with 3-5 individually wrapped gifts. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Do you like to get lost in a book? Do you look forward to an afternoon spent curled up with a book? Then you might want to consider a book subscription box. I absolutely LOVE them. I have limited time to shop these days and choosing a new book can be such a time-consuming task that I really appreciate boxes like Once Upon a Book Club who do all the research and shopping for me.

When you sign up for Once Upon a Book Club you have two options to choose from:
- Young Adult Subscription
- Adult Subscription
Both options start at $34.99 per month and you can choose a month-to-month subscription, 3-month subscription, 6-month subscription or an annual subscription.

The Last Piece – Imogen Clark

Here we have a note from the author which makes for a lovely addition to the box and a beautiful print perfect for framing.
Page 47
On page 47 the main character Cecily receives an envelope just like the one we have here. Inside is a picture of a box decorated with yellow flowers. I feel like this is a very important part of the book.
Page 97
On page 97 one of the characters (I believe it is Cecily’s daughter) is about to have coffee with her family. There is mention of a cafetiere, also known as a french press.
Page 186
On page 186 something has made Cecily cry. She reaches for her sunglasses and for a tissue.
Page 304
On page 304 Norman (Cecily’s husband?) has just finished a puzzle but it is missing one piece. I feel like this particular scene brings the whole story together and ends it with a really lovely message.
Once Upon a Book Club Review July 2020 – Final Thoughts
I feel like Once Upon a Book Club has upped their game once again this month. The individually wrapped gifts just keep getting better and better. I loved last month’s gifts but I just might love this month’s gifts even more.
The book itself sounds like a really good read. It gets great reviews and falls under the women’s fiction category. It’s described as a quick Summer read. Exactly what I need as we finish up the last couple weeks of warm weather. I’m actually quite looking forward to it.
