Passion & Growth is a monthly self-care subscription box for women. Each month they deliver a curated box of the latest self-care trends, inspiring content & fun lifestyle products all sourced from women-owned or operated businesses. Their mission is to encourage and support women on their journey to self-love with products and resources that remind them to be unapologetically you.
You’ve got to check out the Founder’s story. Lo Hixon is a true inspiration and embodies the mission behind her brand. Her journey to self-love was shaped from childhood – as she developed a tumor on her face as a child. Through multiple surgeries and scars on her face, she developed many limiting beliefs that took deep root in her life.
In her late twenties, she hit rock bottom and decided that enough was enough. She was no longer going to believe such negative things about herself, and she wasn’t going to let her scars define her anymore. She put in the hard work to change what she believed about herself, to grow, and to learn to really love herself. Her story is so beautiful and Lo radiates confidence – she’s the perfect person to help lead women on their self-care journey.

The February Passion & Growth box had a fun theme of “Solo Date Night” – aimed at helping to prioritize your relationship with yourself! Here’s a look at the items we received in the February box:
Self Love T-Shirt
They included their t-shirt add-on in our box which was custom-designed t-shirt with the phrase “Self Love Club” on it. This was a red Gildan soft-style base with white screen printing. The fit is good and it washed well (just don’t mix with anything white – RIP to that one white face towel that snuck into the load…it’s a pretty pink now!)
Each t-shirt is custom-designed by their team for a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. While this particular design wasn’t my style, I’ve seen some of their other shirts (and even purchased them!) and have really liked a lot of them.
This will be great for at home though and I do love the self-love reminder.
Self-Care Items
The box came with some unique self care items that I’m excited to try. The Birthday Cake Sugar Scrub by Aminnah smelled so delicious – and I loved the texture. The sugar granules are the perfect size for winter skincare.
Speaking of skincare, they also included a cute headband and cloth set from Willow Collective. It was packaged nicely and the headband and cloth are super soft. I like how the headband has a velcro closure so you can adjust it as needed.
The Luna Rain Night Serum by Earth Harbor was a generous size (30 ml) and it looks like a little will go a long way.
To round it up, they included a hair mask and scalp treatment from Mudmasky. I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but it’s a 3 in 1 trio that restores scalp health, repairs and strengthens hair, and tackles dandruff at the root.
Book & Affirmation Cards
Passion & Growth always includes a book and this month they included Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle. I have to say, I’m really excited to read this one. It’s been on my list for a long time so I’ll definitely be starting it this weekend!
Love Warrior is an inspiring account of how we are born to be warriors: strong, powerful, and brave; able to confront the pain and claim the love that exists for us all. This chronicle of a beautiful, brutal journey speaks to anyone who yearns for deeper, truer relationships and a more abundant, authentic life.
The affirmation item they included this month is the Spark Your Bliss affirmation cards. We had a lot of fun with these on the A Year of Boxes Instagram page this week. I pulled random cards for anyone who wanted one and shared their word, affirmation, supporting action items, and journaling prompts.
I think these cards are a great way to focus on the positive. I love that each card has supporting action ideas to help bring that word or affirmation to life. These are simple things you can do to practically apply the word or affirmation that you’re focusing on for the day or week.
Passion & Growth Review February 2024 – Final Thoughts
Passion & Growth is a fun box with a powerful mission. I especially love that the products are sourced from other women owned businesses. I think that goes a long way and I love being able to support other women in business.
I’m excited to try some of these products, especially the sugar scrub. I definitely think everything was well curated and supported the February theme nicely.
The skincare cloth set is also something that I know I’ll get a lot of use from, especially because it’s so travel friendly. It’ll be joining me on vacation next week for sure!
