I absolutely love to review Postmark’d Studio as it is one of the best stationery subscriptions on the market! I rediscovered my love of sending snail mail and getting crafty since the pandemic started.

Here’s a closer look at the March 2021 Postmark’d Studio PostBox…

Postmark’d Studio March “Stamps & Stationery” PostBox Edition 4.10

“As this collection was curated, I thought about changing the name to “my favorite things“. Every stamp and piece of stationary in this collection makes me smile and I do hope it does the same for you. May you find a little inspiration inside this box to connect with friends and family this month snail mail style. Happy mailing!”

Each Postmark’d Studio PostBox is incredibly well-curated so I cannot wait to see what ‘favourite things’ of Anne’s are in here this month.

Emily Dickinson

“Y’all who are regulars with Postmark’d Studio know that I believe that all cards should eventually be sent. However, this collaboration with Mandolin Brassaw owner and creator at Grapheme might just be an exception. Mandolin taught at the college level for more than 10 years, all the while cultivating a love of letterpress printing on the sly. Grapheme was established as a letterpress studio in 2014 and opened its retail doors in 2015. Her intention with Grapheme is to encourage others towards greater creativity, purposefulness, and the love of learning. I first fell in love with her work when I purchased a 2018 Grapheme Calendar and again in 2020! Mandolin does not produce them every year, so please trust me when I tell you to get on her mailing list or follow her on IG so you will be in the know when and if she releases one again!”

This card is a collaboration between Anne (The mastermind behind Postmark’d Studio) and Grapheme. The beautiful vintage bird stamp combined with this powerful Emily Dickinson quote, “Hope is the thing with feathers/that perches in the soul/and sings to the tune without the words/and never stops at all” is so unique and eloquent. This card is very special, thoughtful and I believe it could give someone who is overcome with a heavy emotion, like grief, much comfort and hope.

All Things Stationery

“Stickers and a card in one…stationery genius! Antiquaria began in 2010 as a result of a chance meeting between Emma James and Bailey Amon a year before. These two talented designers hit it off and the rest is history. With their masterful use of calligraphy, hand lettering, hand-drawn illustration, vintage color, watercolor, and typography, the Antiquarian design philosophy embodies a vintage-modern design aesthetic.”

If you know me, you would know that I am slightly obsessed with stickers. I especially love that this is a sticker sheet and card in one! This would be a fun card to send to a fellow snail-mail or stationery lover, especially during a time like this when snail mail is so fun to send and receive! I am in awe of Antiquaria’s beautiful hand-lettering and hand-drawn images.

AirMail Stationery

“There is nothing finer than some gorgeous writing paper and envelopes and this set from LA PaperLover is no exception. Several years ago, when I first started talking about my concept for Postmark’d Studio, someone would inevitably tell me how they’re great aunt or grandmother were letter writers. I would smile and nod and think, this is not your granny’s stationery company :-), this is going to be a hip snail mail company that is ageless. When I saw Esmy Jonsson’s tagline, “Not your granny’s stationery” I knew LA PaperLover was a perfect match! Esme founded LA PaperLover in 2010 and when she is not designing the perfect stationery to brighten someone’s life, she keeps busy as a part time unicorn chaser, dilettante hand letterer, Postcrosser, graphic artist and cake designer.”

This AirMail Stationery is stunning! It is a nice size, made from quality paper, slightly embossed and seems very important and regal. Anyone who received a note on this stationery would feel extra special.

Snail Mail Postcard

“Send a vintage hello! This postcard is a little throwback to the 1970s with the font and the harvest golden avocado and green colors. Many of you may have grown up in a house with appliances that were these colors. They were all the rage. This postcard is another spectacular collaboration with Ancora Letterpress. Deborah Barkley founded Ancora Letterpress located in Woodinville, WA, in 2017. Ancora Letterpress is a small boutique shop with an incredible passion for paper, ink, and the process of putting those two together.”

I am obsessed with all things 70s so I really appreciate these colours on this postcard. My first apartment had an avocado green fridge and though it was small, it was my favourite thing about that apartment. This postcard is so fun, made from quality paper and will brighten anyone’s day!

Artsy Doodad

“Based on a nod to canvas mail bags, I created a canvas pouch for you to tote your snail mail supplies from cards, to pens, to postage stamps. The canvas pouch was sourced from ShoreBags, a company that uses ethical manufacturing and recycled materials. The patch was a collaboration with sisters Doris and Alice Lieu of Ilootpaperie. These two incredible women worked tirelessly to translate their design into a patch that I could not be more excited to adorn your pouch with. I don’t know about you, but I am thinking that 2021 may be the year of the patch… Stay tuned for more?!”

This canvas pouch is stunning! It is everything and more. I love that it is made from ethical/recycled materials and it is a great size! The stamp patch is incredible, colorful and classy – everything I could ask for!

Postage

“Vintage postage to mail five US letters. One extra bonus letter to send!”

These are so fun! My grandpa was a philatelist and he would have loved to see the cool vintage postage that Postmark’d Studio sends. Subscribers always receive enough postage to mail the cards in their monthly postbox. What a neat feature!

Postmark’d Studio Review March 2021 – Final Thoughts

The March Postmark’d Studio PostBox is well-curated and fits the “Stamps & Stationery” theme well. All of the items are so unique and high-quality this month that it is hard to choose a favourite. I think the stamp canvas pouch is my favourite item as it is a perfect place to keep all of my fancy cards, stationery, postage and pens! Postmark’d Studio is a subscription that will keep you supplied with amazing and original greeting cards for every occasion. It’s the perfect box for stationery lovers and snail mail enthusiasts.
