Salt Will Save The World is a brand new subscription box. We are talkin’ BRAND NEW! I believe this is their very first box, and that is pretty exciting. The new box experience is a pretty fun one. I love that I get to receive a box I know nothing about and have never seen before. Let’s go over the subscription details…..
Subscription Details
It appears as though Salt Will Save The World is still in their pre-launch phase. They have some information on their website, but not as much as I would like to see. Here’s what I was able to find:
- Subscription Options: Right now you can pre-order a 6-month subscription at a discounted rate. Pay only $255 instead of $300.
- Shipping Date: TBD
- What You Get: Each month you will receive 6-10 items paired with an artisan salt from all around the world.

Artisan Salt Company Himalayan Pink Mineral Salt
Himalayan Pink Salt is harvested from ancient sea salt deposits deep in the Himalayan Mountains. It is recognized for the beautiful pink color and high mineral content. Available in fine and coarse grain sizes.
Assured Epsom Salt
Epsom salt is a remedy that is useful all year round. Here are a couple different ways to use it:
- Bath Soak: Dissolve two cups of epsom salt in a warm bath to reduce stiffness and soreness in joints and warm and comfort your muscle aches.
- Soothing Compress: Dissolve two cups of epsom salt in two cups of hot water to make a compress. Apply as a wet dressing with towel to reduce stiffness and soreness in joints and warm and comfort your muscle aches.
We didn’t really receive any information on this product. I would have LOVED it if they included a little guide, recommendations, etc.
Glass Bottle & Jar
One thing we received in the box was an explanation as to how the owner of Salt Will Save The World uses Himalayan Salt to stay hydrated. She included a recipe for Sole which is a salt and water mixture.
I am assuming the jar is to create the mixture. You are to fill the jar 1/4 full with salt, add water, shake gently, and let sit overnight. You then add 1 tsp of the Sole mixture to the provided water bottler (I am assuming) fill with water and drink.
I was introduced to the idea of Himalayan Salt when I was going through my hot yoga phase. You really need to keep yourself hydrated when doing hot yoga on a regular basis and the instructors would always recommend adding a little pink salt to our water each day.
Adult Coloring Book
I am always happy to receive adult colouring books. I wonder if this is the kind of item we can expect to see in all our Salt Will Save The World boxes? Maybe they are setting us up for some relaxation in addition to our wellness rituals?
Journal
This is a gorgeous journal, maybe not something I would pick out for myself, but gorgeous none-the-less. I would have loved some sort of product description or what their reason was for including this item. Are we to keep track of our salt journey, or simply take some time to slow down each day and record our thoughts?

Salt Will Save The World Review May 2017 – Final Thoughts
Salt Will Save The World is an absolutely wonderful idea for a subscription box. I definitely think they are on to something here, but I feel like they have a little more work to do before the average subscribe will appreciate this box to its full potential. I for one absolutely love anything to do with health and wellness, and that’s exactly what this box is all about. But at the same time, I definitely need to be guided every step of the way. I would have loved to see a detailed product card along with an instruction guide for the products we received. I feel like the average person will definitely need some coaching when it comes to the benefits and uses of salt. It’s one of those health items that is misunderstood so we could all benefit from some training and education. I believe this box has the potential to be one of my favourites and will definitely be keeping an eye on it.
