Here’s a closer look at the June Simple Loose Leaf tea box….

Seven

“Seven is called that for the seven herbs and spices that make it up. The first thing you notice with this tea is the strong mint smell. But take a second deep breather and you’ll notice the rich dark scent of cinnamon chips and the slightly sweet scent of sarsaparilla root.”

Ingredients: Cinnamon Chips, Ginseng Root, Peppermint, Echinacea, Sarsparilla Root, Licorice Root, South African Rooibos

I absolutely love that I can immediately smell the peppermint as soon as I open up the package. It tastes lovely and blends so nicely with all the other herbs, especially the licorice root. I really appreciate a tea blend that isn’t overpowering, yet still is complex in flavors.

Simple Peach Green

“Simple Peach Green is one of our new “Simple” teas. It features the wonderful scent of fresh peaches and the newly turned earth. The Young Hyson Chinese Green tea and the all-natural peach flavors of this tea make this a bright and fun tea.”

Ingredients: Young Hyson Chinese Green Tea, Dried Papaya Pieces, All Natural Flavor, Sunflower Petals

After reading the ingredients, I knew that this tea would taste just wonderful iced and enjoyed in the afternoon sun. The peach notes are fresh and delicate and really come alive with a pinch of sugar. I couldn’t recommend this one enough if you need a summer tea to enjoy!

Orange Blossom Oolong

“Our Orange Blossom Oolong tea features the classic oolong leaf. When brewing, watch the oolong tea unfurl and blossom. Orange Blossom Oolong is a great mild tea that can be wonderful in the mornings or mid afternoon if you need a cup of tea that is clean and smooth.”

Ingredients: Oolong tea, orange peel and orange flavor

This tea could absolutely be someone’s go-to/everyday tea. It’s mild in taste but the orange flavor is still delicious. It’s also a very beautiful tea to look at and coupled with the lively citrus scent is like the feeling of a summer sunset.

Sweet Russian Caravan

“Sweet Russian Caravan, A classic Russian Caravan tea is going to be a blend of keemun and lapsang souchong tea. This Russian Caravan tea takes aim at being a bit sweeter on the tongue by using milder teas in the blend. You’ll find the classic smoking of lapsang souchong but it’ll be balanced by the smooth sweet notes of classic Indian teas.”

Ingredients: A blend of sweet China and strong Indian tea

I honestly cannot place what the flavor of this tea is, as it’s a blend I am not familiar with. It is a little sweet while being mild and was easy to drink, especially with a splash of milk and dash of honey. If you’d like to try an unexpected tea, or perhaps your someone who thinks, “i’ve tried them all”, I absolutely think you should give this one a go and let us know your thoughts!

Simple Loose Leaf Review June 2022 – Final Thoughts

This month’s sampling of teas included such a variety of flavors! It was so nice to have such a selection and enjoy something a little different throughout the day. As always, I appreciate that Simple Loose Leaf includes steeping instructions or recommendations in their box and on the packaging. This month the small pamphlet that sometimes includes recipes, tips or directions was actually a postcard that could be sent to a family or friend – cute!
