Ravensara: Ravensara anisata derives from a tree in the Lauraceae family and is often found in Madagascar. It grows up to 20 meters tall with several buttress roots at the base. It has areddish bark that is very aromatic, with small green elliptical leaves.

Frankincense: Frankincense (Boswellia) has been used throughout history, with its most notable appearances in the Bible and in ancient Egyptian history. Historically, Frankincense (Boswellia) was used by ancient Egyptians for incense, treating wounds, and easing arthritis. In more recent times, Frankincense (Boswellia) has been used in soaps, perfumes, and even in some pharmaceutical products.

Cypress: Believed to bring comfort to those grieving, Cypress trees were commonly planted by headstones in old cemeteries. Cypress was traditionally used by early cultures as incense and as a diuretic, but now it’s most commonly used for its aromatic properties that help with emotional stability.

Simply Earth Review October 2023 – Final Thoughts

Simply Earth is always a lovely box to receive. Not only do I get a ton of use out of the oils (diffuser gal over here) but I also really love making the recipes. I am especially excited to make the Calming Aromatherapy Rice Bag this month, it seems super easy and will end up being something I will use often. I also have to give them bonus points for including Frankincense as one of the oils this month as it is trending on TikTok. Apparently it makes the best face oil when you use Castor Oil as the base. I am so excited to try it!
