SinglesSwag Review August 2020

SinglesSwag is a fun, stylish monthly surprise for amazing single women! They do not subscribe to any societal or cultural expectations on women. They believe a woman’s happiness is determined by her outlook and attitude, not her relationship status. They love to make women look and feel beautiful while empowering and inspiring them. They kindly sent us this box for review.

The July SinglesSwag was amazing! One of my favourite boxes to date. I loved it so much that it got me even more excited for the August box. Do you know that feeling? You love a box so much that it heightens your anticipation for the next box that much more?!

Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the August SinglesSwag box….

Hannah Sienna Charcoal Mask ($34)

This mineral-rich, purifying mask works to gently exfoliate, remove impurities and soothe tired skin. The formula is designed to enhance overall skin condition, while improving elasticity. Thoroughly clean skin prior to use for most effective results.

I’ve never really been a huge fan of face masks. I use the odd sheet mask here and there when I feel like my skin needs a little extra moisture but that is the extent of it. Now that baby Steven is here and I am constantly on the go I find myself craving a little downtime…..and a spa night, complete with charcoal mask, sounds amazing right about now.

Headbands of Hope Summer Scarf ($34)

Accent your look all-year long with this silky soft, lightweight accessory that can be worn a variety of ways. Best of all, for every Headbands of Hope product sold (including yours) a headband is donated to a child with cancer.

How fun is this scarf! I love the animal print (my fave right now) and the ombre-style color scheme. I don’t wear pink often but I feel like I could pull this off with boyfriend jeans and a plain black top. Plus…..I LOVE to support a good cause and Headbands of Hope is a GOOD cause!

Mollie Jacob Dazzling Illuminator ($26)

Give your skin a soft and natural-looking glow. Can be added to your foundation, primer or moisturizer or simply used on its own.

This is maybe the only item in the box I’m not excited about. It’s a beautiful product but I feel like we receive highlighter on a regular basis and I would love to see them feature different makeup products more often.

Belgian Boys Wafel ($4)

Indulge in this authentic Belgian waffle made of 100% fresh dough. Enjoy it straight out of the bag or warm it up and top it with a scoop of ice cream.

We have received this brand before but I don’t think we have received this particular product. I feel like I would have remembered it if we had. It’s a very fun snack, and I like that we can eat it straight out of the bag. They also suggest warming it up in the toaster….how good does that sound?!

Chloe Emerald 4-Piece Beauty Bar Soap Set ($22)

Love your skin with this gentle, ultra-moisturizing bar soap set featuring four individually wrapped bar soaps, each in a distinctive fragrance. Good quality soap is one of life’s simple – but important – luxuries.

This is a lovely little soap set, unlike anything we have received before. And the description is SO right. Quality soap is a simple luxury. We received four different scents – cooling mint, refreshing strawberry, soothing lavender, energizing citrus. Something fun for my travel bag perhaps?

Amelia Rue Pear-Shaped Natural Amethyst ($62)

Add style and elegance to your collection with this chic, pear-shaped natural amethyst stone necklace and earring set finished in sterling silver. The necklace measures 17″ long with a 3″ extender.

Love, love, love this jewelry set! One of my favourites to date. My birthstone is amethyst so I feel like it was hand-picked just for me. I also love the simplicity of the design and the fact that it’s something I could wear daily and with casual outfits.

Chasing the Bright Side ($18)

In Chasing the Bright Side, Jess Ekstrom, founder of Headbands of Hope, inspires readers to embrace optimism in your life and reimagine your purpose to create good in the world – right where you are.

Don’t you just love the cover of this book?! It’s making me want to read the book even before I know exactly what it is about…..but I will look past that and read the description….. Chasing the Bright Side focuses on optimism and the belief that you’ve got to work at it. Embrace it in your own life and reimagine your purpose.

Daily Concepts Facial Scrubber ($11)

Face it, you’re beautiful! When this inspirational message fades you know it’s time to replace this makeup remover and exfoliating face scrubber with a special pocket slide for your fingers, for extra control.

I’ve never used a face exfoliator like this but I’m really loving the idea of it. I use a cream-based face scrub and this is somewhat similar. Now….would you use it with water or apply a cleanser first?

SinglesSwag Review August 2020 – Final Thoughts

After receiving the July SinglesSwag I had high expectations for the August box. That’s often the problem when a particular month is really, really good….it just ups the ante for the following box.

Well…..I’m happy to report that my high expectations were met. I really love the August SinglesSwag. There’s only one product I won’t use and other than that I am very happy with what we received. I especially love the jewelry set, the scarf and the charcoal mask. I sense a small hint of Summer and that’s about all I was hoping for. I’m already dreaming about Fall boxes and this one felt like the perfect transition.
