Smartass & Sass Box Review October 2022

Smartass & Sass is a gift and subscription service for snarky individuals and cynical a**holes. They hand-select products from artists and small businesses and work with manufacturers to produce brand-new items that are sure to make you giggle. Subscribers also help them decide on items and have access to a secret sale shop. They kindly sent us this box for review.

When you sign up for Smartass & Sass, you’ll have three different options:

• S&S BIG BOX Subscription – $49.95/month

Shipping: Boxes ship from Lincoln, Nebraska on the 18th of every month. US Shipping starts at $3.95 US and they ship internationally to Canada, Mexico, the UK, and Australia starting at $6.95 US.

Each Smartass & Sass includes a card with a QR code linking a digital brochure written by a Smartass & Sass staff member and the S&S Team. In the brochure they include detailed info on the box’s monthly theme, on the items themselves, tips, recipes and hilarious commentary.

Eat Sh*t and Die Socks – $12.00 (Groovy Things)

Never in my life did I think that I would have a pair of socks with cookies, racoons and curse words. While they may not be work appropriate, my husband will ge a laugh wearing these out with the guys.

No Filter Wine Toppers – $8.95 (Capa Bunga)

This couldn’t have come at a better time. During the holiday season we often open up a bottle of wine when guests come by, but often have left over wine that we don’t exactly know what to do with. This is perfect to reseal the wine and enjoy another day!

Makeup Brush Cleaner – $48.99 (Zoe Ayla / Smartass & Sass)

I absolutely LOVE this product, it’s so nice to be able to quickly switch up the colors i’m using when applying my makeup. I can use the same brush a few times and get the true colour each time. I also appreciate the included reusable cotton pads – one less thing to have to throw away.

Calm Down Coloring Pencils – $10.95 (Smartass & Sass)

The saying on these pencils is so funny and appropriate for each color; like purple has, “How’d I Get This Bruise?” and black has “My Soul” on it. I’ll be using these with my coloring book from last month!

“Zero F*cks Given” – Bath Salts – $19.99 (Explicit Essentials)

This smells absolutely incredible and will be well used. I love that they include a self-care item and this one could make such a nice gift.

Effin’ Birds 2023 Daily Calendar – $16.99 (Smartass & Sass)

So I just learnt that Smartass and Sass include a calendar in a box every year! This one is so hilarious! Beautifully drawn vintage birds and absolutely explicit captions. I can’t wait to see each one when I flip the calendar in the morning – what a great way to start my day.

Middle Finger Paper Clips – $5.95 (Smartass & Sass)

I have a friend that still goes into the office every day and I am going to give these to him to use. Hopefully he knows not to use these ones on his weekly reports to his boss! Also – I love that they are pink – cute!

Smartass & Sass Review October 2022 – Final Thoughts

Smartass & Sass is always such a fun box to open up every month, but I do wish they would lean more into the sassy at times. Not everything in the box needs to have explicits or be vulgar, I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love an F-bomb as much as the next person, but I don’t know if it needs to be every item in the entire box – y’know? All in all, I’m super happy with this box, but will probably give most items away this month. The Smartass and Sass team are extremely clever and I hope to see some of their wit incorporated in a sassy way in future boxes.
