Smartass & Sass Review June 2019

Smartass & Sass is a gift and subscription service for snarky individuals and cynical a**holes. They hand-select products from artists and small businesses and work with manufacturers to produce brand-new items that are sure to make you giggle. Subscribers also help them decide on items and have access to a secret sale shop. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Smartass & Sass is my monthly dose of sarcasm. I’m don’t have a sassy bone in my body, but I LOVE this subscription. Maybe it brings out the sassiness that is hidden deep down inside me. Whatever it is, I love it and it makes me laugh.

Subscription Details

When you sign up for a Smartass & Sass subscription you can expect to receive 5-8 handmade, hilarious items. The items will have a theme (e.g. Motivational AF) and all of the items will relate to it. You can expect things like mugs, notebooks, tote bags, water bottles, pens & pencils, magnets, candles, and more. They regularly survey their sassy gang to make sure they are finding the types of goods you want to get.

June Theme: Here Comes Trouble

June’s theme is “Here Comes Trouble” – This month we’re getting a little ornery. We are serving up loads of troublemaker sass. June’s goodies are focused on being feisty AF.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received in the June Smartass & Sass box….

Unapologetically Me Roll-On ($6.95)

We partnered with Scented Studio again to create a custom sassy scent for subscribers! This blend of Sweet Rain, Arabian Sandalwood, Luscious Orange Blossom and Desire oils, and the 5ml bottle is perfect for tossing in your bag.

A great little item to keep in your purse or gym bag, and a great sassy reminder that “you are you”. I love that they teamed up with another company to create a product specifically for the June box.

Here Comes Trouble Shot Glass ($8)

This oversized 3 oz. shot glass is perfect for getting into trouble with your favorite liquor (or condiment). It’s got a matte glaze with lustre myst to keep you looking classy, and this bad boy is top-rack dishwasher safe.

I’m not much of a drinker so I really love how they pointed out that this could also be used for condiments, lol. I can picture it now. Sitting down with my daily snack of carrots and hummus, using my “here comes trouble” shot glass as my dipping jar.

I Don’t Take Orders Sticky Notes ($3)

Keep track of your to-dos and remind everyone that suggestions will be taken into consideration (maybe). Printed on Post-It brand 3″x3″ pad. Includes 50 sheets.

So far I have received sticky notes in all of my Smartass & Sass boxes and I am loving it! I use sticky notes daily. And I’m sorry……but the saying this month is pretty darn awesome, I can’t stop laughing…..”I barely take suggestions”……HA!

Active Bitch Face Pouch ($16)

Now your resting bitch face can pull out your active bitch face anytime you want. This colourful pouch is 8.5″ x 5.5″, 100% cotton with a cotton lining, has a classed gold zip, and is printed on both sides. Watch out world!

This was one of the spoilers I saw for the June box and I fell in love with it immediately. I keep a pouch like this in my purse. I fill it with all my essentials – gum, hair ties, hand lotions, nail file…..etc. Just imagine me pulling this bad boy out while in public…..just hold on a sec….let me grab some gum:)

Middle Finger Washi Tape ($4.50)

Sometimes you just need your trusty middle finger to do the talking for you. This washi tape is for telling any task (or any coworker….) to fuck right off.

I seriously can’t stop laughing as I go through this month’s box. Middle Finger Washi Tape? How on earth do they even find these items…..they are hilarious.

Demotivational Pen Set ($10.50)

An amazing set of 5 pens with demotivational sayings to motivate all of your coworkers.

How great are these pens?! Here’s what we received:

Hahahah! My favourites are definitely “You’re for Sure Getting Fired” and “Your Face is Weird”.

Underestimate Me Journal ($15)

Go ahead. Try It. That’ll be fun. This sassy journal is 5.5″ x 8.25″ and is totally decked out with a ribbon bookmark, elastic closure, and an accordion pocket (for your favorite stickies!). The cover is faux leather and you’ve got 80 lined pages to jot down your shit list.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite item in the box. It speaks to my heart. The cover says it all – “Underestimate Me, That’ll Be Fun”.

Smartass & Sass Review June 2019 – Final Thoughts

Do you all love this box as much as I do? I mean, how can you not! It’s fun, sassy, sarcastic, and it makes me laugh…..over and over. I’m still laughing at the sticky notes and the pens. Most of the time as I go through my Smartass & Sass boxes (as much as I LOVE all the items) I think of people I want to give them to. Haha…..next time I visit my sister I’m just going to slide one of the pens across the table to her. And I can’t wait to use my new sticky notes. I’ll probably end up sticking them all over the house….just to make myself laugh each time I walk past one of them. another month and another great box from Smartass & Sass!
