Smartass & Sass Review May 2019

Smartass & Sass is a gift and subscription service for snarky individuals and cynical a**holes. They hand-select products from artists and small businesses and work with manufacturers to produce brand-new items that are sure to make you giggle. Subscribers also help them decide on items and have access to a secret sale shop. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Do you have a bit of sass in your step? Or do you know someone who does? Do you love a snarky comment and want to have a good laugh? Then I would HIGHLY recommend Smartass & Sass. I got to review this box for the first time last month and I absolutely LOVE it.

Subscription Details

When you sign up for a Smartass & Sass subscription you can expect to receive 5-8 handmade, hilarious items. The items will have a theme (e.g. Motivational AF) and all of the items will relate to it. You can expect things like mugs, notebooks, tote bags, water bottles, pens & pencils, magnets, candles, and more. They regularly survey their sassy gang to make sure they are finding the types of goods you want to get.

May’s theme is “Girls Just Wanna Have Sun”! This month we’re celebrating Summatime! Think florals, travel, and fun in the sun. May’s goodies are focused on being hawt when it’s hot.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received in the May Smartass & Sass box….

Don’t Mind If I Do Can Cooler

You don’t have to live in the sea to drink like a fish. Can Coolers are made with poly foam and are printed and hand-sewn in Cinder + Salt’s low-impact print shop.

I am going to be spending a lot of time poolside this Summer and I plan on taking full advantage of the reading time complete with cold drinks and lots of snacks. This will come in very handy.

Girls Just Wanna Have Sun Mason Jar

This cute tumbler will keep you hydrated on the beach! It can hold 20+ ounces and comes with a reusable straw. Be sure to wash this sunny mason jar by hand to keep the teal graphic looking hot.

I have water with me at all times. I pour myself a glass first thing in the morning and all throughout the day. And…..I prefer drinking out of a straw. This mason jar will be my tumbler of choice for the Summer months.

Don’t Be a Prick Sticky Notes

Keep track of your to-dos and remind yourself (or others….) to check the attitude. Printed on a Post-It brand pad. Includes 50 sheets.

You all know I have an obsession with sticky notes. I use them all day every day. I currently have a ton of them stuck to the wall beside my desk. I use them as reminders and once the task is complete I take the note down.

Rosé All Day Peel Off Mask

Say yes way to rosé! Our rose gold peel off mask is made with real 24k gold flakes that your skin will drink up in a wink. Package contains 2 rose gold peel off masks. Free of parabens, artificial fragrance, and mineral oil.

Masks are a great little pampering product to keep on hand. You never know when the mood will strike to pamper your skin while relaxing with a good book. I have a skincare box in my bathroom and keep it stocked with items like this.

Don’t Fry Your Ass Sunscreen Bar

This is a dope-ass super moisturizing lotion bar imbued with some excellent botanical extracts (chamomile and vanilla), non-nano zinc oxide AND titanium dioxide, because when you are dealing with sun protection, you don’t want to fuck around.

Ummmm…..this smells like a candy bar. I am obsessing over the vanilla scent and the fact that it is made with a great list of ingredients. This is easily my favorite item in the box.

Stay Shady Sunglass Case

This heather gray case will keep your sunnies looking sharp. Protect your glasses from scratches and smudges.

This is actually pretty perfect. I have a few pairs of sunglasses that don’t have a case. And…..it will be the perfect addition to my new summer tote (see next item) that I am going to keep stocked and ready for last-minute trips to the pool or beach.

Too Hot To Handle Zippered Tote

This cotton bag is 15″ x 17.5″ for toting all your summery stuff. It’s the same kind of tote we used for last year’s summer box, with a fresh design.

I can NEVER have too many bags and totes. In fact, I would be happy to receive a new one each month. This one will make the perfect pool bag. I love the size as it will fit all my essentials and then some.

Sarcastic Card Deck

We are beyond excited about this fully customized sassy deck of cards! These colourful cuties will inspire hours of fun (or a quirky art piece). Each numbered card features a different hilarious phrase. 

At first I just thought this was a regular deck of cards. But no…..it’s so much more than that! Just check out the hilarious sayings on each card. This will definitely keep me entertained.

Smartass & Sass Review May 2019 – Final Thoughts

So……I am in LOVE with the May Smartass & Sass box. I mentioned above that I will be spending a lot of time poolside this Summer and I feel like Smartass & Sass just provided me with all my Summer essentials. I am going to take my new tote and pack it will all my pool goodies. I will be including the sunglass case, the can cooler and the sunscreen bar. Now I just need a towel, hat, book and snacks. A perfect box for Summer! One that I will get a lot of use out of. Thanks Smartass & Sass!
