The October SpiceBreeze was my first look at this subscription and I was fairly impressed!  Here is a look at the November Box!

Boeuf Stroganoff – Russian-French Culinary Spice Kit

This recipe spice kit is a new twist on Boeuf Stroganoff with a juniper-cacao based spice blend for a mushroom stew.  It fits well with or without beef.  You can also add it to a mushroom casserole with green beans.  Pink peppercorns are best when added at the end of cooking or sprinkled on the finished meal.  Their flavour pairs perfectly with juniper.

Pumpkin Sambar – South Indian Culinary Spice Kit

Sambar is a vegetable soup with a tart flavour from tamarind.  We added tamarind powder to save you the trip to a special store.  This recipe spice kit is intended for prompt usage, because tamarind powder can get clumpy depending on the surrounding climate.

Martini Gans’l

The preparation of a roasted goose takes a long time, and it’s often hard to find a goose.  This recipe is faster with pieces of chicken.  You can save even more time without the gravy.  The juicy sauce out of the oven is delicious by itself.  You can make the dish twice during the holiday time.  The spice pouch contains mugort herbs for two recipes. Try it with turkey, duck or goose and different side dishes with recipes from our website. You can add the herbs directly to the meal or within a tea bag.  Both ways are fine.

Laksa Lemak – Malaysian Culinary Spice Kit

The coconut milk used in Malaysian Laksa lemak adds sweetness to the famous Laksa soup and balances its sour-salty-hot flavour.  In this adapted recipe shrimp paste and fish sauce are substituted for easier to find anchovy paste and tamari or soy sauce.  you can also skip the anchovy paste for a fish free version of this delicious fragrant soup.

SpiceBreeze November 2017 – Final Thoughts

So yummy!  I feel so hungry.  I can’t believe there is a recipe and spices for a Laksa soup!  I’ve been eating so much of this soup since I recently discovered it at a local sushi restaurant.  I wanted to try my own hand at it, but had no idea where to begin!!  What a fun box this is.  You have to eat anyway and everyone has a tough time coming up with great dinner ideas.  Let Spice Breeze do the work for you! All of these recipes sound amazing and I want to try them all!!
