This is my first time reviewing The Dashing Squad and I am beyond excited!! I discovered this box not too long ago but it immediately piqued my interested as I have been on the hunt for mama/baby subscription boxes ever since Steven was born, and I’m coming to realize that they are few and far between. I was drawn to The Dashing Squad for a couple reasons:
- they focus on eco-friendly and organic products
- I LOVE the styles/products I saw in past boxes
- I love that it includes a variety of items for both mom and baby

Here’s a peek at what I received in the June The Dashing Squad……
Organic Bodysuit ($24)
100% GOTS organic cotton. Every piece is unique, we hand-stamped the garments using eco-friendly paint.
OMG! How stinkin’ cute is this little bodysuit!? It fits my style preferences perfectly and they nailed the sizing. I received 6-12 months and even though Steven is only 4 months it fits him perfectly. I love the neutral colors (do you know how hard it is to find neutral colored baby clothes?) and I love the vintage design.
Handmade Wooden Toys ($16)
Made from ethically sourced poplar wood and finished with beeswax & linseed oil. Perfect for open ended play, each toy is unique in size and shape. It was handmade by us in our shop in Orlando, Florida.
Wooden toys are my favorite! I made a promise to myself when Steven was born that we would focus on quality as opposed to quantity when it came to anything we purchased for him (toys, clothes, books, etc). So far I have been gravitating towards wooden toys so I was excited to see these in the box. And……wooden toys have many more benefits to baby’s development when compared to plastic toys.
Crochet Mug Rug ($8)
Handmade with love by one of our partner artisans in Orlando. It’s the perfect way to bring your coffee or tea everywhere you go and protect your tables.
What a thoughtful little gift for us Mamas. This gorgeous handmade mug rug is already sitting on my desk in my home office. It will be perfect for my morning coffee and/or daily smoothie.
Bead Bracelet ($9)
Handmade in Ecuador by local artisans.
This is the only item in the box I’m not crazy about but that is strictly a personal preference. With that being said I have a Mama friend in mind who will absolutely love this…….and how nice will it be to share a little gift with a friend?! Us Mamas need to love and support each other….am I right?!
EcoSmart Pinch Cups ($4.99)
Super durable formula made from natural materials. Food safe, formaldehyde free, and BPA free.
How adorable are these little cups? Oh my goodness….so cute and so fun. We just got a little sit-me-up chair for Steven and it has a tray attached to the front. Once he starts eating on his own I picture using these to hold mini snacks for him….. Cheerios, crackers, fruit, etc…..
Turkish Towel ($24.95)
Handwoven in traditional Turkish looms. It’s perfect for a quick trip! Very absorbent, quick drying and durable.
Lastly we have a beautiful Turkish Towel which will be enjoyed by both Steven and I. I like to have blankets/towels with me at all times so that I always have a spot for Steven to lay/sit. We can use it on the floor at friends houses, outside on the grass…..etc. Either that or I will put it in my travel bag as it will be nice to have a beautiful towel for my travels.
The Dashing Squad Review June 2020 – Final Thoughts
My first box from The Dashing Squad is everything I was hoping it would be. What a beautiful box! I love the mixture of items – some for me and some for baby Steven. I love that the products are eco-friendly and that some are handmade. This month my favorite items are the bodysuit (because how can you not love the design) and the wooden toys. The only item I may gift is the bracelet but even that makes me happy because I get to share the love with a Mama friend. I just might have a new favorite box……
