The Jilly Box Review Fall 2020
The Jilly Box is a quarterly curation of Jillian’s favourite customized beauty, home, and fashion items delivered to your home every season! They kindly sent us this box for review.
Today I have the pleasure of reviewing The Jilly Box for the first time. I’ve been following The Jilly Box since they shipped their first box, which was about this time last year. It’s a gorgeous lifestyle subscription curated by Jillian Harris. It’s filled with the most beautiful items and the value is absolutely amazing.
I am beyond excited to see what’s included in the Fall 2020 box. I already know I am going to love it.
Subscription Details
The Jilly Box is sold out. However, while there are no further subscriptions available for purchase at this time, they do offer the chance to make a one-time purchase for those randomly selected from their waitlist (aka The Insiders Club) each season.
Here’s a peek at the items we received in the Fall 2020 The Jilly Box….
So Pretty Cara Cotter Mini Honour Stud Earrings ($110)
Inspired by modern royalty these mini hexagon crystalline quartz earrings feature a step cut stone. They are set in heavy plated 18k gold over solid 925 sterling silver and are the perfect size for everyday wear.
I wanted to start things off with my favorite item in the box. These stud earrings are unbelievably gorgeous! I love the hexagon shape as it makes them unique. I also really love the size. They are bigger than your typical stud, but not so big that you couldn’t wear them daily. In fact, I see myself wearing these on a regular basis. Whether it be with a casual outfit, a cute little floral dress, or a date night outfit. I am thrilled to see such a beautiful item in the box.
Eluo Forma Rosea & Applicator Brush ($45 & $18)
A ritual for radiance, this multi-tasking powder blend instantly refines and hydrates dry skin, while encouraging cell turnover to minimize discolouration and reveal a healthy, bright complexion. Forma Rosea to hydrate skin. Application brush to apply.
Here we have a lovely skincare product which can be used as a polish or a mask. It will hydrate, brighten skin tone, smooth texture and promote regeneration. It’s recommended as a weekly application. It’s formulated with nutrient-rich plant powders of coconut, rosehip, chamomile, and a restorative blend of skin-nourishing essential oils.
I appreciate the fact that we received an application brush to go with the powder. It makes for easy and precise application. And perfect for those of us who don’t like to use our fingers:)
ATNP Be Good Long Sleeved Cotton Tee ($60)
Super soft long sleeved cotton tee in classic heather grey with an original Jilly Digital graphic. Wash inside out, hang to dry to prevent shrinking and preserve the graphic.
I have peeked at past boxes and it appears as though they always include a clothing item. For the Fall box we received this long sleeved tee with an exclusive design/graphic. It has a loose, oversized fit making it very comfortable and perfect for lounging, running errands, picking the kids up from school, or any time really. Grey just happens to be my color of choice when it comes to clothing so it complements my capsule wardrobe nicely.
Jackson Rowe The Olive Scarf ($45)
This bohemian style is a Jackson Rowe staple. It has a super soft cashmere feel. It is loosely woven in a delicate pattern with feathered edges. It can be used as a scarf in the winter and a shawl in warmer weather. Hand wash, lay flat to dry.
I was secretly hoping for some Fall themed goodies so this next item is much appreciated. No Fall subscription box would be complete without a scarf (in my personal opinion). This one is soft, cozy and oh-so-pretty. I don’t typically wear pink but it will be a nice change from the black and grey scarves I usually war.
Barefoot Venus 100% Natural Mustard Bath ($21.50)
Run a hot bath, add the mustard bath, inhale and relax. Let the therapeutic properties of mustard go to work pulling nasty toxins from your skin, while the spirit of wintergreen, eucalyptus and rosemary surround you in a curative cape, leaving you feeling top-notch.
Since having baby Steven I have been craving some serious “me” time. I am in desperate need of a little spa night and this mustard bath is the perfect excuse to have one sooner than later. It includes some of my favourites scents – eucalyptus and rosemary.
I was a little confused by the name at first but it is in fact made with mustard seed powder which increases circulation, opens pores, stimulates sweat glands and helps draw impurities from the skin.
Saje Wellness Aroma Om Petite ($78)
Take your time to unwind and feel lifted with this relieving blend of fresh, nurturing and balancing essential oils – a supportive addition to your end-of-day routine. Pair with this limited edition, petite take on the Aroma Om Diffuser.
It’s funny, as I have been following The Jilly Box over the last year I always thought to myself…..I would love to see a diffuser in one of her boxes, and what do you know….here it is! If you read my reviews on a regular basis you will know that I LOVE my essential oils, and I LOVE my diffusers. So it should come as no surprise that finding this Saje wellness duo in the box made me do a little happy dance. In my 8 years of reviewing subscription boxes I am yet to receive a diffuser as beautiful as this, so they get bonus points for including such a wonderful product. Now I just have to figure out where I want to put it……office, bedroom, downstairs tv room, entry way…….so many options.
The Jilly Box Review Fall 2020 – Final Thoughts
Wow, what an unbelievably beautiful subscription box. The Jilly Box covers all my subscription box must-haves and then some. Yes, it is a little more expensive than most subscription boxes, but it’s a lovely way to spoil yourself, and/or a friend. The curation is wonderful, the product card is informative, the packaging is lovely and the value is unlike any other subscription box based in Canada. I also appreciate the small details like the fact that the box itself is reversible and carbon neutral, they work with Canadian brands, and they include extra little goodies in the product booklet like recipes, style tips and more.
The Fall Jilly Box is just what this new mama needed. It’s full of beautiful items meant to help me rest, relax and rejuvenate. If you are looking for a way to treat yourself The Jilly Box should be on your list.
