I was so excited to review August’s The Naked Beauty Box as I am finding the products they send gentle and amazing for my skin! August’s brand partners are 100% Women-Owned and the brand partners are all Small Businesses.

The Naked Beauty Box arrives in beautiful floral packaging with leaves, lovely colours, and the phrases, “Love the skin you’re in” and “Beauty begins with you” written on the sides. They’ve recently updated their packaging colours and I am obsessed.

Let’s take a look inside:

The product card was a paper pamphlet with product photos, names, descriptions, and MRSP prices.

Gypsy Soul Organics Gypsy Eyes – Repairing Eye Serum ($25)

“It’s like getting 8 hours of sleep—in a bottle. This ultra-concentrated yet lightweight eye serum enriches the skin and targets the look of lines, dark circles, and puffiness. BEST FOR: All Skin Types. ADDRESSES: Fine Lines, Crows Feet, Darkness, Puffiness and Wrinkles around the eyes. Restore & revitalize the delicate area around the eyes. With daily use, the eye area will exhibit an improved, lifted appearance, aiding in preserving youthful skin & preventing future damage.”

I have discovered Gypsy Soul Organics thanks to The Naked Beauty Box and was excited to try this eye serum! This eye serum is lightweight and appears to help the fine lines and puffiness around my eyes, which is a win to me!

Soon Skincare – All Day Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($40)

“Protect your skin from direct and indirect sun exposure, damaging effects of screen time and environmental pollutants with this smooth, non-sticky broad-spectrum SPF 50 lotion. Shield from fluorescent, blue and damaging infrared light from electronics and screen time. Prevent damage from direct and indirect sunlight. Boosted with stabilized vitamins C & E to protect from free radicals and outdoor pollution.”

I am such a fan of Soon Skincare and this SPF is perfect for me! I find that a little goes a long way and I am easily able to apply it before my makeup without any issues. I also love the packaging!

Isabella’s Clearly VIT-C Advanced Vitamin C Moisturizer ($23)

“When it comes to getting a brighter and more radiant complexion, vitamin C is a game-changer. Our VIT-C face cream is loaded with essential nutrients and antioxidants to revive dull skin, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, brighten the complexion and clear acne and blemishes. A unique formula made with omega-3 and 6 enriched Rosehip seed oil, antioxidant-rich organic blueberry, cranberry and raspberry extracts, clarifying willow bark and organic neem oil and soothing organic aloe vera. A recommended daily treatment for all skin types.”

In the past, I have been wary when experimenting with products containing vitamin C as I have burnt my skin before. However, I first tested this lovely cream on a small area of my skin and it seemed to go well, so I have been using it every few days and my skin is glowing! I presume this mix of ingredients is much more gentle than what I tried before.

Grice Beauty Anti-Aging Body Oil ($37)

“This luxury body oil is for you if you care for your décolletage, neck, elbows, shoulders, knees, and toes. Helps reduce the appearance of sunspots, acne, wrinkles, and leaves skin soft & smooth very hydrating and doesn’t clog pores. Avoid the sun after applying oil. Pure citrus essential oils, cold-pressed oils like Avocado oil, Jojoba oil, and Rosehip seed oil. No alcohol and fragrance-free. Kid Safe. Helps with dry skin and dark spots. Face use: use on face to spot treat dry areas rather than applying all over the face.”

I have been using this citrus body oil on my dry skin on my hands and my feet, and it has been so effective. It also smells light and refreshing, and it is a ray of sunshine during these cooler almost-fall mornings we’ve been having.

The Speak Collective Cocoa + Calendula Lip Balm ($8)

“Provides instant relief to dry, cracked lips and leaves it nourished, soft and smooth with regular use. Packaged in a paper tube that’s better for you and the environment.”

I love the idea of a paper tube as you have to wonder how many plastic cosmetic pieces make their way into landfills each year. I have been using this fragrance-free lip balm on my lips, hands, feet/heels and elbows and my skin is happy! This lip balm will also be perfect for winter as my skin becomes so dry!

The August 2021 The Naked Beauty Box contained five full-size products and the estimated retail value of this box is $120!

The August The Naked Beauty Box is full of amazing skincare items. I am familiar with a few of the brands included in the box this month as we have received their products in previous boxes but there were still two new brands for me to discover. I also love that all of the products included are clean which is becoming more important to me as I age. My favourite items are the Gypsy Soul Organics eye serum and the Grice Beauty Citrus Oil. The Naked Beauty Box is the perfect subscription for someone who appreciates trying clean, cruelty-free, and vegan skincare products!
