Here’s a closer look at the July Young Adult Unplugged Book Box….

The July 2019 Unplugged Book Box theme is Stars are Only Visible in Darkness.

The back of the product card lists all the items in the box. The products tie in with different fandoms, TV shows, and books.

The product card also has unboxing challenges. If you want to play along and share your photos on Instagram you could possibly win a prize.

Unplugged Book Box always includes a Spotify playlist.

On the back of the card they included a gratitude journal which I absolutely love!

Ms. Peregrine’s Cooler

Ms. Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs inspired this exclusive cooler that is perfect for Summer days out! We’re all guilty of dwelling on the past, but this quote is a reminder that though we have some bad days in the past, it’s time to focus on the light.

This little cooler will come in handy for reading days at the park or the beach. Personally, I always bring a book to the beach, and I always bring snacks……this is the perfect item for me:)

Rhysand Candle

Rhysand of A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J. Maas is the High Lord of the Night Court where he certainly faced some dark times before seeing the stars of his life. This candle was made for Unplugged by Flickerwix Candles.

This little candle smells SO good, and I am loving the sparkles. Candles and books go together like peanut butter and jam……so this really is the perfect item for a book box.

Tracker Jacker Repellent

Ward off Tracker Jackers like Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Katniss faced some of her darker days before life made a turn for the better. This natural bug repellent was created by Badger Faced Beauty exclusively for Unplugged.

This made me laugh. It has been a long time since I read The Hunger Games but I certainly remember the tracker jackers….how can you not? And, I hike every day so I will definitely get some use out of this.

Enamel Pin

This is collectible number 2 of our Summer Solstice collectible series inspired by Sarah’s favorite fandoms. “Best friends since childhood, Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers are inseparable on both schoolyard and battlefield.

I’m not a huge fan of the style of this particular pin, but I do love the idea of a collectible series.

Winter is Over Sunscreen

Winter is officially over. This Games of Thrones inspired sunscreen will help protect your skin when things get too bright. This was made by the Unplugged team for this box.

Is anyone else extremely sad that Game of Thrones is officially over? This sunscreen just reminded me how much I am missing that show.

The Chosen by Taran Matharu

Throughout history, people have vanished with no explanation. A group of teenagers are about to discover why.

Cade is settling into a new boarding school, contemplating his future, when he finds himself transported to another realm. He soon discovers their new world is populated with lost remnants from the past: prehistoric creatures, ancient relics, and stranger still — people. Overwhelmed by his new surroundings, Cade has little time to adjust, for soon he and his fellow classmates are forced to become contenders in a brutal game, controlled by mysterious overlords.

But who are these beings and why did they choose these teens? Cade must prepare for battle . . . because hiding is not an option.

Unplugged Book Box Review July 2019 – Final Thoughts

Unplugged Book Box is a box I look forward to because….well….I just love ALL the book boxes. There’s just something so fun about receiving a book in the mail. And when the book is accompanied by a variety of bookish goodies….well that’s just ten times better. This month we received the YA Box, which is a little out of my comfort zone, but at least it gives you an idea of what the YA Box is all about. The last few boxes have gone to my niece and another girl I know who are really in to reading right now. They have loved the book selections, and this month won’t be any different. The Chosen sounds like a great read and it gets great reviews. I’m kind of excited to see what the Adult selection was for July…..excuse me while I go snoop on the Unplugged Book Box Instagram page…..
