Vancity Box Review November 2016

Vancity Box Review November 2016

It has been a few months since my last Vancity Box review. I think they took a little break to reorganize and restructure. I did my first Vancity Box review back in February and that box continues to be my favourite out of all the boxes I have received from them. I would LOVE to see more boxes like that one.

It looks like things have changed a bit since my last review. Not a lot, just a little. It appears as though each box will feature items from one company specifically. They use to include a variety of items/companies in each box, but now they are focusing on one company per box. This month we received items from Ahoy Soap Company.

We start off with a simple base of olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil and then add natural ingredients like clays and pumice for a scrubby effect and pure essential oils for fragrance.

I am ALWAYS happy to receive natural soap. The regular store-bought versions kind of freak me out. I’m not really loving the scent of these one in particular, but I will still be using them.

Whipped Body Butter (Coconut Lime & Tahitian Vanilla)

We don’t add water or alcohol to our whipped body butter so a little get a long way. With high quality oils and natural fragrance oils, you are left with a pure indulgent, hydrating experience.

Natural body butter is another item I am always happy to receive. It’s kind of nice that we received two of them. I use lotion everyday after my shower, and I definitely prefer natural lotions to regular lotions.

Mood Mist (Coconut Lime)

We combine natural fragrance oils and essential oils to entice your senses and create the mood you desire.

This is a nice idea, I just kind of wish it was a different scent. I would like this one more in the Summer, but right now all I want to spray in my house is cozy fall fragrances.

Bath Soaks

We create these soaks with effectiveness in mind. They are more than just bath salts, they cleanse, detoxify and hydrate your skin. They are vegan friendly and will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

This is a big ol’ bag of bath salt. I love it! I have more time for baths these days so I get quite excited about items like this.

Foot Soak

Like our bath soaks, our foot soaks are effective and concentrated. The pure organic menthol, eucalyptus and peppermint essential oil will sooth your sore feet while the MSM and salts detoxify and leave your feet feeling refreshed and invigorated.

I am so intrigued by this, and very excited to use it. I love the idea that it detoxifies. I’ve heard that toxins can be released through your feet.

Vancity Box Review November 2016 – Final Thoughts

Hmmm, I’m not too sure how I feel about this month’s Vancity Box. I love that we received a box full of natural body care items, but I almost think I prefer a mixture of brands. Or maybe I would have been more excited about this one if they went with a different fragrance. I’m just not feeling the scent of these particular products. They are quite strong and you are either going to love them or hate them. On the other hand, I am VERY happy that Vancity Box is back from their little break. I’m very interested to see what companies they feature over the next couple months.
