Vegancuts Beauty Box Review August 2019

Vegancuts makes it simple to discover the best vegan products. Their experts search every corner of the cruelty-free world to uncover new vegan brands and meticulously review and select products that they can stand behind. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I recently started reviewing both the Vegancuts Snack Box and Beauty Box again, after a few years, and I am beyond excited about it. For all the new readers out there, I have been vegan for quite some time, probably going on 9 or 10 years (I always lose track). I’m not super strict with it as I do it mostly for health reasons. I would say I follow a vegan lifestyle 90-95% of the time. So……I have a lot of respect for vegan subscription boxes and find a lot of value in them.

Subscription Details

When you sign up for a Vegancuts subscription you have 3 options to choose from:

Beauty Box ($22.95): The Beauty Box is the easiest way to discover cruelty-free brands without committing to full-size products or prices. Each month they send 4-7 new products to try, ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare. Typically the contents of the monthly Beauty Box have a retail value of $50+.

Snack Box ($24.95): The Snack Box is great for people who like to try new snacks. Each month they send out a box that’s packed to the brim with 10 or more vegan snacks, ranging from chips to cookies and sodas to teas.

Makeup Box ($39.95): The Quarterly Vegan Makeup Box is an easy and affordable way to try full-size, cruelty-free & vegan makeup. Each quarter they’ll send you four or more new makeup products, ranging from lipstick to mascara to luxe nail lacquer.

Here’s a closer look at the August Vegancuts Beauty Box….

Zion Health Deep Cleansing Scalp & Hair Scrub ($19.99)

Apply to clean, wet or damp hair, massage scalp thoroughly. Work through the ends of hair and rinse.

I would consider this the hero item for the August Vegancuts Beauty Box. It’s a generous size and will probably last a few months or more. It smells lovely and I really like the idea behind it. I use scrubs on my face and body so why not on my scalp?

Derma E Scar Gel ($7)

Scoop a small amount and gently massage into skin. For new scars, apply 2-3 times daily for 8 weeks. For older scars, apply twice a day for 3-6 months.

I’m very intrigued by this next item. While it’s not the most exciting beauty product to receive I can appreciate the idea behind it. I have a two small scars on my face. They aren’t very noticeable but I’m very curious to see if this gel will minimize their appearance.

RAEKA Turmeric Cucumber Mask ($8)

Apply an even layer all over clean skin. Let dry for 15-25 minutes. Gently remove starting from the sides of your face. Avoid eyes, eyebrows, and lips.

Wow….I can’t remember the last time I received a peel off mask. I tend to prefer the sheet masks as they are just so easy and convenient, but that doesn’t mean I won’t give this one a try.

Dermala PATCH Me If You Can Pimple Patch ($9.99)

Wash and completely dry the skin. Peel patch from the sheet and apply it on top of a blemish. Leave on for a few hours or preferably overnight. A change in color to white indicates pus absorbance. Remove the patch by peeling it off the skin.

I’ve been blessed with nice skin and don’t have to worry about pimples too often, but let me tell you…..this is one of those products that you will be SO happy to have on hand when the need presents itself. This will be going in my skincare box and saved for a pimple emergency.

NIU BODY Piña Colada Sugar Scrub Lip Polish ($10)

Apply pea-size amount of scrub to lips with a finger. Exfoliate by massaging sugar crystals against the skin. Wash off the excess.

Lip scrub is a product I like to have on hand. I don’t use it on a regular basis, but every now and then I really like to pamper my lips before bed. A polish and lip balm at night equals super soft lips in the morning.

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review August 2019 – Final Thoughts

The August Vegancuts Beauty Box provided me with a nice mixture of beauty products. Something for my hair, skin, lips, scars and pimples. It might not be the most exciting beauty box, but the items we received are useful and I will be happy to have all of them on hand. Vegancuts is a wonderful way to discover new beauty products…..and the best part? They are vegan approved.
