Vegancuts Beauty Box Review August 2022

Vegancuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription that brings you the best in vegan beauty. Each box invites you to discover the best skincare, haircare, bodycare, and makeup from clean, cruelty-free brands, no bunnies harmed! They kindly sent us this box to review.

Subscription Details

There are 4 subscription plan options for the Vegancuts Beauty Box – monthly, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Monthly subscriptions cost $27.95, with savings for those opting for any of the longer term subscriptions. Shipping is free for US subscribers, $6.95 for Canadians, and $14.95 for international subscribers.

Each box contains 4 or more deluxe or full-sized beauty products ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare, valued at $50 or more. The expert Vegancuts curator vets each beauty brand to ensure that only clean, cruelty free, and conscious brands are included in the box. Beauty products are always vegan, paraben-free, and free of harmful chemicals.

The theme for the August box is “Post-Summer Skin Saviors”. This box is valued at $111 and features six repairing and replenishing items. Proceeds from this box will go towards supporting the Here With Us Farm Sanctuary in Seven Valleys, PA.

Let’s take a closer look at all the items.

Beauty Without Cruelty AHA 3% Facial Cleanser – $4

“A lightly foaming cleanser that removes dead surface skin cells, daily impurities, and excess oil. Gently massage over wet skin on face and neck, avoiding the eyes. Rinse well with warm water. Wear sunscreen after use.”

This is a gentle cleanser that has a light milky consistency. Be sure to wear sunscreen after use as suggested since AHA leaves skin sensitive to the sun.

Beauty and the City Tea Mist – $28

“This mist creates an antioxidant-rich infusion to provide skin nourishment. Use it to moisturize, tone, hydrate and soften skin. Can be used as a primer spray, skin hydrator, and toner before moisturizer.”

I am generally a fan of mists like this in the summer as a refreshing pick-me-up. This spray has lots of skin-loving ingredients like niacinamide and aloe. However, I find the scent a little off-putting, so can’t say I enjoy this one.

Plaine Products Travel Citrus Lavender Body Wash – $5

“This body wash will gently cleanses your skin while improving tone and texture, without drying.”

This wash has a refreshing citrus scent with a hint of lavender. I absolutely love how well it lathers.

Chiky Botanica Plant Alchemy Luxe Facial Oil – $58

“This revitalizing, sensual, botanical face serum is jam packed with antioxidants and nutrients to nourish, hydrate and beautify skin. Gently massage into cleansed and toned skin morning and night.”

This serum contains a mix of botanical oils with skincare benefits such as sunflower, rosehip seed, and carrot seed. Unfortunately I do not like the scent and will be passing this one on to someone else.

Nole Shampoo and Conditioner Bars – $16

“The shampoo bar deep cleans grease and product buildup without stripping hair’s natural oils, resulting in radiant hair. Conditioner is bright, clean and effectively detangles and nourishes oil prone hair.”

I love shampoo and conditioner bars for traveling. These ones have a pleasant light scent, and I am looking forward to trying them out.

Final Thoughts

As usual, Vegancuts provided a good variety of products to help us care for ourselves from head to toe. It is so rare for beauty subscriptions to include body care products, and I really appreciate that this box includes more than just skincare for the face. Even though there were a couple of misses for me, I still loved trying out everything. My favourites this month are the shampoo and conditioner bars, as well as the body wash.
