Let’s take a closer look at the January box themed “Beauty Glee for 2023”.

Authentic Beauty Concept Hydrate Mask – $10

“An intense, yet lightweight treatment that moisturizes normal to dry or curly hair and brings back elasticity, bounciness and shine. Work a generous amount through clean, damp hair, leave on for up to 10 minutes, and then rinse.”

We have tried a shampoo and conditioner from this brand, and this month we have their hair mask. I like using rinse off masks like these in place of conditioner every week or so for some added hydration. This one has a pleasant floral scent and does leave my hair feeling moisturized.

J & L Naturals Hydrate Skin Serum – $30

“This serum combats dry, flaky skin and delivers much needed moisture. Put 3-5 drops of skin serum onto your hand. Gently apply to damp, cleansed skin. Allow it to fully absorb for a few minutes.”

This serum consists of a blend of oils including sunflower, sweet almond, extra virgin olive oil, lavender, and rose geranium. I think for me this is a tad oily for a serum and more of a face oil to use as the last step of my nighttime routine. It has a subtle floral scent which I really enjoy.

Raeka Peel Off Mask – $35

“This peel is effective in removing impurities and the top layer of dead skin cells to reveal a smoother complexion when used regularly. Apply evenly over the face, avoiding the areas around eyes. Allow 15-20 minutes to dry. Gently remove peel from the sides.”

I find peel off masks like this such hit or miss. They can be really satisfying when they work, but some can be really difficult/painful to remove. Can’t wait to give this one a try and fingers crossed it is one of the good ones.

Kirk’s Gentle Castile Bar Soap – $2

“This soap provides a gentle and creamy lather even in hard water, leaving skin feeling soft and healthy. Rub bar with wet hands to work up a lather then scrub over hands and/or body.”

Love a good bar of soap! I actually really enjoy using castile soaps to clean my makeup brushes.

5th Dimension Radiant Rose Face Mask

This is the bonus item for the month – a powder clay mask that promises to nourish skin and decongest pores. To use mix equal parts mask and water to form a paste, apply and leave on for 5 minutes, then remove with a warm wash cloth. I love clay masks and this one is quite good, it is just a little of a hassle having to mix it before using.

Final Thoughts

Another good variety of products for the face, body, and hair from Vegancuts. I am really enjoying this box, particularly the skin serum and hair mask. While not exciting, the castile soap is so versatile and so useful to have around. This month’s box comes in at over $80, which is amazing value! The sizes of products included are so generous and a nice change from the itty bitty samples we always get sometimes. Love this box for trying out a wide range of vegan beauty products.
